Progress #6 Made it to level 65, I cannot stress enough how good FoG is. Finally got to use level 64 maple weapons which is a blessing. Got so tired of my 77 watk maple axe. I actually managed to pass a 10% scroll on my soul rohen which is just awesome On the road to level 70 now.
Update: Level 29, obtained and scrolled this badboy. May the countless slimes sacrificed in order to obtain 5 scrolls rest in piece.
Update: Got to level 33 doing some random doodoo quests and accidentally farmed this bad boy. Considering the first average +5 strength glove is around level 80 (iirc), I'm pretty content!
Not an update post - but just wanted to say that I am addicted to reading the posts in this thread and following everyone's progression!
I love reading the posts and following this thread even though I don't plan on making a DIY character at the moment until I have at least one character at 4th job with decent gear. Keep it up guys! And most importantly, have fun!
Hey guys! I decided to join and do this challenge! My IGN is Angsty and I plan on pursuing the path of a Bowmaster!
Since I've started this ridiculously painful but fairly fun adventure, why not leave a log for each day's result. Spoiler: Day 1! Following Tim's footsteps The good old Amorian EXP hair change quest by Claudia... Spoiler: Level1~30 Boy, after making my buccaneer "ddong" I've never trained this hard... Had plenty of fun doing all the 10~30 quests! I planned an ambitious goal to finish all the possible quests, but gave it up after hardly finishing 8 of 30ish quests.. ~_~ Oh yeah the Utah's Pig Farm quest is bugged as it doesn't give the rewards probably (normally gives out either pig illustrated or ribboned pig headband along with the mandatory reward x30). Since there is already a bug report about this problem I won't make a new thread, but keep in mind fellow iron(wo)men. I don't have any gears yet, only wearing a luk 3 bamboo hat (from Maya's quest) currently. Hoping to gather some dex/luk scrolls to scroll my ragged cape and GFAs for my wg! Hopefully the attack range will grow as I level up and gather good equips. Oh yeah any suggestion on how much my base Dex should be? I was originally planning to go dexless, but that's going to be insanely hard with 0 access to the royal's market, so I'll need to adjust the stats as I go through. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks! Good night, off to bed.
So after reading all these stories I decided to make an Ironman too. Seems like a lot of fun, this way i'll try to complete alot more quests too some that i just ignore when making regular characters! Here's me at startup : IGN: FunkyFang and I'll be a bandit
Personally I am going dexless because we have to scroll our own stuff regardless. We either scroll for dex to wear a craven (you need 140 total dex) or scroll for luk and wear a Skanda. I don't think we're allowed to loot zakum helmets unless we solo zakum (as we can zakum for skill books, but since it's not our solo kill I'm not sure we're allowed to loot equips) so that means a lot less dex on equips. I'm a terrible scroller too, so I'd probably have awful dex equips and need to pump a bunch of AP into dex to make up for it. Regardless of your route - you should be dexless until 90ish and then transition to low-dex if that's what you want to do. Edit: use this guide
This looks like a fun idea. Should I do this as a Paladin or Bandit? Which would be more interesting?
Fun is subjective, so I can't answer that for you. Have you played either class before? If you have, perhaps pick the other so you can try something new? Else - flip a coin !
