Hi all, I am here to suggest or to discuss something important. Well as u can see above, it's very straight forward that I am suggesting that can we have stackable ciders??
The discussion may end here but it may not be accepted and possibly implemented without an in-depth comparison.

As you can see below, each cider takes up one slot of your inventory hence it could be annoying, so, can we have stackable ciders?
    bandicam 2015-12-09 22-59-48-498.jpg
i can have 12 ciders taking up 12slots but if you see above, if ciders are stackable, I will be able to have 1200 ciderS which is very cool based on the maths below.
    bandicam 2015-12-09 23-08-47-299.jpg
Therefore, you can see that it is very cool to have stackable ciders!!! so, can we have stackable ciders?

Also, based on my experiences, the only not stackable attack potions seems to be ciders.
    bandicam 2015-12-09 23-04-42-961.jpg
If you look at the picture above and the one earlier, warrior potionS, warrior elixirS, onyx appleS, the energizer drinkS , red ciderS, heartstopperS are all stackable but only ciders are not stackable, so, can we have stackable ciders?

idk how ciders take up slots in the "real" maple and i am not interested to download the "real" maple to find out, even if the "real" maple having ciders taking up one slot for each, I believe mapleroyals should overcome the defects of the original maple in order for us to enjoy our gameplay. So, can we have stackable ciders?

I think Nexon actually made a good choice by having this as a downside to the most powerful NPC purchasable pots. I don't think it should be changed.

Textbook example of a quality of life change. Ciders begin non-stackable adds no intuitive gameplay whatsoever, all it is is an annoyance.

That would be like having NPC's sell energizers, green ciders gives 20 attack and gizer gives 25.
    A pretty big qol change.

I don't quite agree with the suggestion the way it has been presented so far, it just sounds unbalanced.
Making them stackable would in my opinion make it heavily unbalanced unless you also increase the cost massively, and if not then Warrior Elixirs and Energizers become obsolete and might as well be removed from the game. But that's just how I see this, I guess opinions differ.

How does ciders being stackable make them unbalanced in any way? All it's going to do is save players' time traveling to showa town every now and then. We're already given max inventory slots for free so not having enough space to hold them is definitely not of concern, meaning people are already carrying around enough ciders that'll last them for whatever amount of time they need. In its current state, it's nothing but an inconvenience having to run back to showa so frequently just to replenish them. Oh and let's not forget the potion mules people have just sitting around in towns, that sure is an engaging alternative!

As for making warrior elixirs obsolete, well, yeah. Look at warrior potions and other attack potions like drake's blood and warrior pills, they're never used and nobody cares about them now do they? Regular elixirs are also overshadowed by sorcerer elixirs because it's both stronger and more accessible and nobody cares about that either. Energizers will still be relevant because they provide 5 more weapon attack and last longer than ciders.

Upping the price in exchange for stackable ciders is a good compromise though, and/or reducing the max stack of ciders from the tradition 100 to something like 10.

Rage/Dragon's Blood are redundant but still have the niche of being free damage when range doesn't matter; I use Dragon's Blood and Rage when I'm grinding just to see higher numbers if I know it won't matter to my grindspeed, for example. Weaker potions are irrelevant because they're weaker and occupy the same niche as Warrior Elixirs; no penalty for cheap attack. Mana Elixirs aren't overshadowed by Sorcerer Elixirs; I use Mana Elixirs on my warrior classes at Zakum because of how much mana drain spam there is. The meso savings isn't significant, but it's enough to justify the choice to me. They're also easier to restock on, being purchaseable from everywhere in the Maple world rather than just NLC. The point of this paragraph is that there are actually more niches for items than one might think at first glance. Just because one person doesn't care about them doesn't mean we all don't.

Ciders occupy a different niche than Warrior Elixirs; Ciders are meant to be stronger, with the downside of not being able to carry many of them. This makes them a pain to use with a character like a Night Lord or Corsair because of how many inventory slots they need to donate to their stars/bullets. Ciders and Energizers occupy a different niche; Ciders are purchaseable from NPCs, Energizers are not, but one can stack Energizers, and they have slightly more attack on them, making them more appealing despite their relative inaccessibility.

Making Ciders stackeable fully with no other changes renders not one but two potions indirectly nerfed; Warrior Elixirs no longer become useful because Ciders beat them in every way (except the minor accuracy penalty, which is laughable), and Energizers become an overly expensive way to gain +5atk for a longer period of time.

Increasing the price and not making them -too- stackeable are good tradeoffs, but the price increase would have to be significant enough to actually sustain a reason for still wanting to purchase Energizer Drinks (for the attack boost if you want it) and Warrior Elixirs (if you're cheap and don't need the extra boost/want to save inventory space).

tl;dr: I support this idea if it doesn't completely ruin Warrior Elixirs and Energizers.

Easy workaround if you have multiple characters:

Buy a bunch of the items that tele to shrine and showa, and have one character tele to showa, but them, trade them to your other characters in the FM. Process honestly takes 5 minutes max.

Also, bit off topic but I've always thought it would be cool if rage stacked with attack potions, would add to the benefit of partying with a warrior.

Whats the point of them currently, i've never really seen people use them when they could easily just port to showa and buy a good amount?
Remember there are 100 use slots and ciders last 5 minutes per.

I'm in support of this as it would be a major QoL change and wouldnt affect the place of the other npc purchasable pots available. Currently they are the best of the pots by a mile and them not stacking is a minor issue which doesnt help "balance" them in any way. People would still use gizers since they last 30 minutes and have extra attack. People who use warrior elixers currently would still use them for whatever reason they had previously. The change would just stop having people from repurchasing ciders every 5mins - 8 hours (detemined from how many you buy each time)

Well, since we can warp to fm whenever we want to, except when we are bossing obviously, I just have a cider mule placed in showa so I can always transfer them. Most of the people use ciders while grinding afaik, so when I buff myself in fm with SE for example, I just loose like 5 seconds to drop and loot them when I need, not a big deal, and when bossing people usually use higher att pots like stoppers, apples, red ciders or energizers, so I think this would be a good alternative, because I don't think they will change this.
I saw some screenshots on forums for example, of people having stacking ciders, I don't know how they did it, tho, probably magic.

Of course you don't ''see'' others use potions. That would be impossible (in game). But to proof you otherwise.
    Here's 2 people using them

I'm not trying to disrespect you but in my point of view you're just trying to make it easier for yourself. People that use warrior potions use it because they want inventory space. That was the reason they had previously. So your point doesn't really put any value to your opinion. Also ciders are completely different. They're 1. more expensive 2. add more attack AND duration. It's common sense for them to be stackable. Ciders are cheap and strong. That is why you can't stack them. There's a reason for everything, and not making them stackable is one of those things they actually thought of, and for a good reason as well.

What about the extra 5 attack and 25 minutes? When you're really tired and training, you often forget to pot or don't want to repot once every 5 minutes. Regardless, I do not think this should be implemented because it'd be kinda unbalanced. As Matt said, the downside to ciders is the non-stackability, making it an interesting alternative to warrior elixirs.

My point was that the cost versus efficiency would become horribly unbalanced if Ciders were to become stackable to 100 in its current state.
It's a 20 attack buff for 5 minutes that costs only 1000 mesos, while an energizer that gives you 5 extra attack costs between 2 and 5 million mesos on the free market. The way the OP has presented this suggestion, he would be able to fill up his inventory with 2000 or 5000 ciders at the cost of 1 energizer. With that said, he would get a 20 attack buff for 10.000 to 25.000 minutes at the same cost as someone with an Energizer would have a 25 attack buff for 30 minutes.. So like my first post suggested, I don't see this suggestion as a realistic one unless the cost of Ciders would go up massively to a point where the average player would still consider using Energizers and maybe even Warrior Elixirs.

Not imbalanced, it just devalues every other attacker potion. As far as I'm concerned 1k is basically free.

In regards to ciders being stackable makes attack potions imbalanced, in my opinion, I don't really see how it will be imbalanced, even if so it would be already imbalanced even if it is unstackable. As Mr. Raony said above, one could just have a cider mule in FM and transfer them to their main character when needed, or even without a mule, having a page in the inventory will be 24 ciders hence 120minutes of it. Players would still have enough ciders to do their activities and repot when it runs out. The only difference I see is taking away the inconvenience of it.

One may argue that ciders will take over the position of Warrior Elixirs and Energizers but it may not be necessarily true. Ciders seems to have already taken over the postion of Warrior Elixirs as +20wa and +12wa does have a difference which can influence one to use ciders instead of Warrior Elixirs, unless that -5 accuracy is significant towards you. Ciders(1k ea) are also cheaper than Warrior Elixirs(5k ea) hence in the long run it will be cheaper to use ciders, though it is not really influential. Energizers have an additional +5 attack and 20minutes longer, attack effect is similar to ciders but it do make a difference, it can be a +200 in range (i only checked sairs & nl) which is some damage increase that one might consider.

Also, We have to take into other attack potions like Red Ciders and Heartstoppers, the prices of these potions can influence the use of other attack potions too.
