I'm....eh.....I don't know about Reboot. I like the changes they made which many of the changes were aimed at the causes of me and many others quitting Maple a long time ago. There;s no p2w which excites me greatly. I hit 21, but the game doesn't feel the same. Between aesthetically and how the UI is situated, it just feels like a different game. The maps are all different, skills are different and when I level up, its so powerful, I explode and kill things around me (Not a joke). I waited anxiously the day Reboot came out, but I just don;t feel it. The game itself, just feels foreign and I cant get into it.
Well, I played a post-bb server for quite a while so I'm not unfamiliar with the bigger resolution/new UI. Giving it a try now. Surprisingly, Goofsta was not taken. Add me if you play.
Posted in another thread, may as well post here. Musclepope. I'm liking the game so far. It does a good job kicking out the bots. I never liked the "endgame" for post-BB but I'll try it out again.
(Guess I'm bumping this thread) Hey, how does the leveling speed in Reboot compare to Royals? Part of the fun of Old Maple (pre-BB) was that I got to experience pretty much 100% of the content at the appropriate level since grinding took forever. In pre-BB, there were tons of maps no one (legitimately) trained at, such as Lycans, but you knew they were there and you had to pass through those maps on your way to other places. I guess you could say that there wasn't that much content pre-BB, but after Big Bang, a ton of content felt obsolete since you'd just level up so quickly. You could hit 100 within a few days, and then if you wanted to see some of the lower level content you skipped over, it would be more like tourism as opposed to actually training there for a bit. Also, after Big Bang there wasn't much point putting effort into gearing your character until much later because you'd just level so fast. - This post turned into a bit of a rant, but I'm just wondering if Reboot is like Old Maple in the sense that you can journey through content at an appropriate level, or if Reboot is more like current Maple where nothing really matters until you hit 150 because you're just going to blaze through the preceding levels.
I've been playing super casual and am already 170. There is a TON of content for all levels, but I ended up outleveling most of it due having like 2x-5x exp with all the events stacked up.
Joined Reboot recently. Still somewhat reserving judgment for the game. It seems fun, and I get that they kind of updated it, but it STILL somehow doesn't feel as social as it used to in the past. It's almost like everyone is in such a hurry to level that they forget about interacting with everyone else. It's nice to be able to do things on my own, but I wish that there was still some reason for people to talk every once in awhile. On top of this, people do not seem as friendly. I hope this is just because I'm starting out on Reboot--I guess time will tell. If anyone else has joined Reboot, feel free to add me: MaiNeko.
I already quit, lol. Endgame is literally slaughtering weak mobs for money. Mesos don't even scale with mob level, so there's no incentive to visit harder maps. Classes were supposed to be "balanced," but since character progression revolves around meso farming, the jobs with full-map attacks and/or afk keydown skills come out on top. Everyone is botting/hacking and I can't join them since I use that account for other Nexon games. I'd rather get carried by 2m~2m irl friends in scania than sit at mp3 for 5 thousand hours.
This. I enjoyed playing Reboot in the start, when it was competitive and you saw tons of people fighting over just one specific boss. But right now it's grindfest at mp3 and just forget the endgame content. Like wat Nexon, y u do dis to us?? Not only did I struggle because I was tunneling my IP (very common that I was inside a boss room and my client stopped to work all of a sudden) but also because I played a bad class, for the time being... Pretty much sums up my experience of Reboot so far. Annoying as fuck.
Like you can spend 2 hours doing all the bosses and get 10m or spend literally 5 minutes at northern heights and get more money. Northern heights nets 2-4 mil mesos per MINUTE. Thats 1 cube in less than 5 minutes. There's no incentive at all to do anything else. Not to mention the back to back double miracle times that got all the nolifers full legendary gear in the second week of the server being out. That's faster than a high rate private server.
Been playing Reboot off and on, once I hit level 150 I was sort of at a loss as far as where to train/level fast as a Shadower. They've severely slowed the DPS of Shadowers, and Meso Explosion is no longer elite in DPS.
..So let me get this straight... there's no ways for players to share items and meos with eachother, and the only way to upgrade eqps is by adding potential? (keep cubing til it's a perfect item?!) Wow. Honestly disabling trade is the dumbest thing I've heard. You're basically playing maplestory alone. For me maplestory isn't fun unless you can share your wealth with others, and make items together. I gues the only way you can share your wealth with others is by letting them loot your drops right? so now 95% of those maplers are only thinking about themselves because what else can they do? o.o
necro'ing, but to be honest a lot of mmos are starting the "no trade" trend. it's really retarded and should go away.
