So, I've seen the chatbox on the forums and I've seen a couple of comments about "Irc channels". I'm offering to hold a channel ESPECIALLY for MapleRoyal's to chat in. What is IRC you may ask? Irc is Internet Relay chat, It allows people all over the internet to connect and type to other people around the world in real time. How does it work? Usually you need a client such as XChat, MIRC, or Konversation, however there are webchat programs such as mibbit that run in your browser, or on your phone. What does it require? Internet, and a keyboard. I currently hold a server on a network, and I admin on it as well. I'm willing to guarantee a channel that's going to be up and online even when the game servers may be down. The network has many bots, which server a purpose. We have weather, quote, game, tv guide, and other bots that can be used to get information for our users. IRC is a dying art, and the network I'm on is relatively small. We have a teamspeak server as well, that can be used to talk instead of type with other users. So here's the question; Is anyone interested in using the IRC Channel/network? @GMs, Admins, Matt, and others This offer stands for all; I have no intentions of revoking it. I'm open to all questions, comments, concerns, or information you wish to ask or tell me. Regards, Moose/Soleil
Idk if I would personally join but I still idle on Qnet and Rizon. Qnet because it's the main source of communication for a community I administrate in and Rizon just for shits and giggles.
Any amount of people using it would be worth it, IMO. We're a small network, (less than 100 users) currently. I'm on DALnet and SurrealChat as well, just for shits and giggles.
