So I downloaded, installed the game, put the file in the folder, put it in my 'Whitelist' and now when I go to run it, it pops up with some Gr2D error, saying it cant display it or something :/

I have read some solutions on the forums and none have worked so far. I tried adjusting my screen resolution, iv tried troubleshooting compatibility and nothing works! :(

Please help, iv have been trying to fix this for the past 2 hours now and still doesn't work! I really want to play this game! It brings back so much memories from the good ol maple days, please help :(

These are the most common fixes I am familiar with.
    • Some monitors has caused that problem, especially if you use a regular TV
    • Using the setup.exe in the folder might work
    • Change compatibility setting to Windows 98/ Windows ME
    • Try all different screen resolution settings
    • Try changing hardware acceleration

In my folder I don't have Setup.exe, I only have Setup and when I click it, all it asks is if I can see the screen clearly or not. If I click yes and error pops up.

I have tried changing the compatibility, but it doesn't change it to Windows, it just goes to recommended settings.

I have tried all the resolutions and I don't have the hardware acceleration. I followed the steps in another post regarding Hardware acceleration but I don't have that option for some reason :/

You can change compatibility settings manually.

How do I change it manually and what do I change it to? When I click Troubleshoot compatibility and click recommended setting, it sets it to Windows XP (Service Pack 3)

Oh I think I managed to chane it manually, but it still doesn't work. I have changed it to Windows 8, 7, Windows XP, Windows 98 and they all didn't work. Now when I try it pops up with some error saying I need to make sure I have DirectX 8.1 or higher :/

Okay so here is the problem now. When I run the client I get that 'Gr2D' error, and if I run the Setup.exe I get the DirectX 8.1 error. Regarding the Directx 8.1, I have DirectX 11, so I don't understand why im getting this DirectX error when I have a better version.

So I got no idea how to fix any of these errors and im starting to give up. I honestly don't want to download the proper Maple because I hate where its at, but if I got no choice then sadly I may have too :/

But please help, I wish to play this game!

Try with a different screen or another computer, or both.
More than that I can't help with sorry.

When I have that problem, I usually restart the pc and itll work. Not sure if it works for you though.
