Downloaded MapleRoyals but whenever I click the shortcut it says it isnt linked to any specific file

    If you check your folder is the mapleroyals.exe gone?

    If your mapleroyals.exe is gone then it would most likely have been deleted by your antivirus.

    If you need just the client you can download it from here http://royals.ms/forum/threads/are-you-looking-for-a-client.31319/
    You need to place it in your mapleroyals folder.
    Or you can go into the control panel uninstall mapleryoals then delete the folder and reinstall the game using the setup you downloaded.

    Remember the mapleroyals.exe will keep getting deleted unless you make an exception for the mapleroyals folder, and in some cases making an exception for the whole directory is needed, "C:\Program Files (x86)\MapleRoyals\"
