From this season, am currently watching Haikyuu S2 (Really good sports shounen. Similiar to Kuroko but with the lack of superpowers and is more realistically portrayed) and The Perfect Insider (Uses the concept of locked-room mystery. A pretty compelling mystery indeed.) Simply way too many animes to recommend. Will put a spoiler tag in case anyone's interested. Spoiler As according to genre/demographic Shoujo - His and Her Circumstances. (Old school classic shoujo. Really well-developed characters) Shounen - Hunter x Hunter (as everyone's stated above, it really is a shounen gem. 100+ episodes but you wouldn't regret it at all) Mecha - Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. (It's kinda similiar to One Punch Man in the fact that they're both overly exaggerated and both very stylistic visually. Tons of heart too.) Mystery - Monster (Considered one of the best mystery shows for a reason. Slow initially but the build up pays later.) Seinen - Sakamichi no Apollon (bromance ftw. Kinda involves jazz music too if you like that sort of thing) Music related - Beck/Nana.
GURREN LAGANN IS A MUST <3. Sakamichi no Apollon, Nana, Beck. All good stuff. Karekano is also actually really good D
Didn't clock the recommendation part. Brace yourselves! Spoiler: Romance Kimi no Iru Machi (Lovely & relatable, no anime bullshit here) Golden Time (Decent if you can handle the female main. Slight supernatural/psychological undertones) Toradora (Fun show with one of the most memorable female leads!) Amagami SS (Based on a dating sim so if you don't enjoy multiple love interests this isn't for you (Potentially NSFW)) Ōkami Shōjo to Kuro Ōji (Main character is an idiot, but that's part of its charm.) Ao Haru Ride (Probably my favourite in the past few years. Dem feelz!) Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai (Funny & cute) Clannad (Cute, but it has some pretty deep emotional crisis. You have been warned!) To be continued (when im not half asleep)
http://myanimelist.net/animelist/i0rx My manga list is outdated, don't watch anything that I rated 6 or lower it will be a waste of your time if our tastes are similar.
Gurren Lagann and Parasyte are both masterpieces and should be watched by anyone who enjoys anime IMO
Seasonal? OPM Owarimonogatari I picked up HunterxHunter hoping it would be better than most shonnens. It's started okay, but it's usually about how these things fair in the long run. As far as general recommendations? I'm a huge fan of the Monogatari series and would recommend it to anyone, at the very least Bakemonogatari. It works as a stand alone. My personal favorite anime of all time has to be Samurai Champloo, so it also gets a recommendation to anyone who somehow hasn't seen it yet. The list could go on, but I'll spare you guys that much.
I started watching anime again.. Here's my intake c: Hataraku no Maou-sama. Satan the demon overlord went to Japan is currently working in McDonalds to live an earnest life. -I'm still watching this. t's pretty interesting and definitely can get funny at times. Mikakunin de Shinkoukei. A girl named Kobeni turned 16 and she was suddenly told that she has a fiancée and now her fiancée is living together with her family. -I already finished this. This is also interesting as well. It's definitely a common plot but it has it own sort of twist I guess. And there's also those typical characteristic present within the anime. I just started watching this one, Otome Youkai Zakuro. It's during the Meiji Era (I think), and it's about how Demons ("Spirits) and Humans are trying to live along side each other. -It looks promising I can't say much cause I only watched the first episode.
DURARARA! I'm obsessed I'm almost finished though so does anyone have any suggestions on what I should watch next? : )
Hunter X Hunter, should be top 3 anime of all time imo, this anime is god like Hitman Reborn, mostly comedy. One Punch Man, mostly comedy. History's Strongest disciple Kenichi, comedy+martial arts+a little bit of romance Code Geass, the best way to describe this anime is Gundam+DeathNote, Overlord, similar to SAO, the guy is trapped in a video game. If you like SAO u will probably like Overlord.
Hmm, its kind of overhyped, and the whole one shotting everything is very anti climatic. Its like pure comedy and nothing else. Imo it doesn't deserve a season 2.
I'm interested by "Chobits" and was wondering if anyone had seen it already and what they thought of it?
That's what I thought at the beginning. I thought "how could a show about a superhero who can 1 shot kill anything be good?" Then I continued watching it and I loved it! Sure, there's lots of comedy but there's also very touching moments and badass moments. The final fight gave me goosebumps!!
