Disclaimer: This is not a rant nor I am criticizing the Royals Staff. I also started a Month ago so this is my experience from 31 days of MapleRoyals So with that out the way, I want to ask what it would take to see a reasonably stable server. As things stand it seems like Mass Dc's happen like 20-40 times a day along with all kinds of other server issues and honestly that's pretty crazy. After a day of hard work (School, Work, Etc) it is pretty disappointing to try to enjoy a few hours of Maple and end up being frustrated instead because of how unplayable the game very often is (Esp when you DC while using a Gelt, Pie, Or Onyx Apple). I don't really know what is needed to have a MMORPG that has up to 1k players online to run smoothly, although I have heard something about a good quality server being needed. So I am hoping that we can be educated here as well as discuss as to what is causing the problems and what kind of solutions are possible.
The patience for the new source to come out that is coded much better and will not burn and die on us. You should hop on the beta very stable. Edit: Anti-lag: First, one of the big issues we face here currently is the lag. There are so many of you from around the world, and we run on such antiquated and inefficient code that no matter how powerful our server is (and we have one the best servers a consumer can buy from a web host), the source itself just can't deal with everything going on. You will be glad to hear that lagging will be minimal with our new source. The source code has been written completely from scratch with efficiency and stability as the basis for every aspect of the game. Because of this, you will be able to enjoy a much smoother gaming experience, compared to what you are used to. The speed at which everything occurs in the new source from signing in, to selecting characters, to changing maps, to interacting with NPCs is just astonishing. There's also a beta-test of the new source! You could join it. The more ppl playing (and reporting issues) the faster the new source can be released.

If the open beta is as stable as you say it is, then you really should release it now while you still have #1 on Gtop. Ex-Extalians are hungry for a well managed server that isnt by RMZero Its sooooooooooo frustrating for new players as we waste our precious NX on safety charms, every time there is a DC I log in with a dead character. Completely kills motivation to play
@Mango Juice Hmm that is good point, is there a reason we can't release it now? even with some bugs it cant be worse than the dc issues can it?
You simply don't bring out an incomplete product to the market just because a few people became too impatient to wait for it to be completed. If the product were to be completed it would outshine the current source we have on the live server, but when released while it's incompleted you'll just run into different problems and you'll still dislike it. With that said, it makes little sense to release the new source in the state it's in right now.
