Description: Kerria, an ordinary teenage girl, wakes up to find herself in a Virtual MMO world along with five others. However, it doesn't take them long to realize that something is definitely wrong with this game: there is no freaking logout button. And the situation doesn't get any better when they are contacted by the mysterious Game Master. They are informed that the person who is responsible for their virtual abduction, and also knows how to return to the real world, is the so called Beta Tester. But there is one last detail... the Beta Tester is one of them. Yes, it would be pretty SAO-ish because a lot of people seem to like SAO and that way it would be more fun and relatable ^^
Ah, yeah. I'm a beginner artist - I started drawing in June 2015 - but I always strive to improve my art every time I draw. I rarely do lineart in my drawings because I don't find it very time efficient (and learning how to do good lineart isn't very hard once you know how to draw, I think), so they may look a bit sloppy (downscaling <3) but I personally don't mind it. The style I was thinking for the manga would be very Maple inspired (half-chibi) and rather traditional. I don't really have any experience with it but I would like to practice storytelling, flow and all that comic-ish stuff c: I've done a few maple related pieces before as free requests even though some of them are pretty old now (I change style all the time because I think it helps me improve faster ^^ ) Spoiler: For Clem <3 Spoiler: Ray and Jennuuu quick sketch to play around with greyscaling Spoiler: The banhammer of Extalia Let me know what you think, or if you want - give me some names of people to feature! c: If you think it's a waste of time just let me know and I'll find something else to do.
Definitely sounds interesting enough. Don't know if you can cross the storyline of SAO line with .Hack (dotHack's). Feel like it'd be an interesting twist if you could. +1
>beginning artist >draws like that Don't believe you for a second, bud. This sounds very interesting! I would love if you took some creative ideas from the manga called The Gamer which follows your main idea sorta. It's been one of my all time favorite mangas of all time so I'd really enjoy seeing a Maple spin on it!
Thief (female, main protagonist): @Sila, @Plenty (hehe) Warrior (male): @Eli, @Tim, @inversion Magician (female): @Jeen, @Bella Bowman (male): @Unknown, @AdamBrone, @Aram Pirate (female): @Madi
Dude you have to have the black guy who's all chill and ghetto and shit. Knxwledge Don't kill me off first this ain't a Hollywood film.
Looks interesting! I'd like to cameo in the manga if you have time! Also, I'd suggest @PalmTree's Kerria as the thief protagonist in the story.
Another great manga that this reminds me of is 1/2 prince which is about a girl that plays a virtual reality mmo, but changes her gender to a guy in the game because her brother says it's easier for girls to play mmo's (because they get free stuff). Thief: @Plenty, @Stan Warrior: @Michael Magician: Me pleaseeeeeeee (ign injeenious) Bowman: @Dimitri Snipper hype! Beginner: @IoIzor
You should do a 4Koma with only the islanders. Because the island is a fucked up magical place. Also, i vote for @IoIzor as the beginner.
If possible, I would prefer it if the character and the person behind it is the same gender (otherwise it could turn awkward like in episode 1 of SAO :S). A "decent" name that kinda fits in a comic (+ the gender I mentioned) would also be cool. For instance, naming the main female thief Johnny would probably be out of the question. I will have a prologue page up once I've picked the protagonist.
