Duracell and Energizer are the leading brands here in the UK. However there is a brand called Eneloop which do probably the best ones: Eneloop XX batteries - Amazon Use them in conjunction with the best charger available: La Crosse Technology BC-700 Alpha Power Battery Charger - Amazon Or you could get the charger that comes bundled with some Eneloop batteries but I don't think it is as good. Should have a battery charging time of less than 2 hours if you use those. And a very high capacity battery.

The reviews on Amazon don't seem great. Some people saying the charge only lasts for 1 or 2 hours... You should do some research.
