Character Name: Hefty Last thing you did: LPQing with other characters Why do you think you got banned?: I went on someone's account and took back an item. Ban message when attempting to log in: What GM banned you (optional): Dimitri Few months ago I was reported for hacking auroraglow's account and then permanently banned. She told the GM's that I guess her password and from there took items off her account. She gave me her info to gach for her a long time before this ever happened. So, I didn't hack into her account, I was given the information. Her and I were having a disagreement at the time and she decided to try and get back at me by telling a GM I hacked her. I did in fact get on her account and take some items I had given her, but I never hacked into her account. I didn't ask her for the items because we weren't on speaking terms and I'm waiting so long to do this appeal because I have been out of my country and busy with moving internationally. I haven't had a chance to sit down and make an appeal. Is there any way I am able to be unbanned or will I stay permanently banned?
Unfortunately your permanent ban can not be lifted because both possible scenarios result into a permanent ban. 1. You hacked her account and took the items for yourself and your brother. 2. You knew her account info from previous sharing occasions and decided to take control of some of her items. Other than that we have a chatlog from you where you discuss that you 'may get banned soon' for account sharing and you're considering ban evading if it were to happen.
I had her consent for taking the items, while we both temporarily quit she told me that if I wanted the items back that I could take it. So I figured it applied for this time as well. I wouldn't have taken them if she didn't want me to.
It doesn't matter if you had consent or not. Going on an account that is not your own automatically falls under account sharing.
Depending on the severity it can be an automatic permaban. Seeing as how you did it more than once, I don't see why it wouldn't be.
When people account share, they don't do it just once, anyway. It wasn't a frequent thing. I was on the account twice. Once for gatch, and then I took items back.
First offense, which is this, is a 30 day ban according to the terms and conditions. It says "major abuse" COULD be a perm ban. This isn't MAJOR abuse. This was reported once for logging on the account. Making it a first offense.
What you did was deemed major abuse, hence why Tim said it was a permaban. The fact you did it more than once just makes it even worse. Tim has already made the decision that you won't be unbanned.
I do believe for it being a "second offense" would be me getting in trouble twice for doing this. This is my first offense regardless of me being on the account more than once. I was in trouble for it once, which is a first offense. first offense doesn't mean being on it one time, it means it's your first time being in trouble for this particular reason. Second offense would mean I was in trouble once, got in trouble again, not being on it twice.
Well... My ban is for hacking, not account sharing. So, I'm banned for something I didn't do, anyhow. But if I am I being banned now for account sharing, it doesn't seem like it is major abuse. Major abuse would be constantly doing it, training an account, etc. which didn't happen at all. This is a minor offense. Which is a first offense.
It doesn't matter..? Well, it matters to me as to why it is seen as major abuse? If it doesn't matter it seems as if there isn't good enough evidence to explain to me why it is major abuse.
Actions that significantly affect gameplay and give you a definite advantage over others is considered major. For example, but not limited to: shared leveling, bossing, taking items, gaching more than you should be able to, etc.
