Hi all, I've been getting the wrong parameter message for a while. I tried running different compatibility packs, but those never really worked for me. What always seemed to work for me was rebooting my laptop. I'm never a fan of doing something like this, because it doesn't solve the issue, especially because it appeared a lot. So, from a clean start up, I started paying attention as to what apps / programs I'd use. Seems like, whenever I'm running steam I get the wrong parameter error. I tested it several times, launching royals with and without steam. Hopefully you can create a work around based on this info. Steam probably isn't the only software out there that could cause this, but hey, it's a start.
That's a bit funny cause I have that issue on the beta (having to close skype) As I am not aware of any solutions and never heard of this problem for the live server, and only solution would be changing compatibility, have you tried all of them?
I haven't tried all of them, because I found restarting was a solution, and eventually, closing steam. There might be other causes for the wrong parameter bug that require you to change compatibility, but the issue which seems to be with apps using a (similar) service or port, or whatever, that stops me from running MapleRoyals.
