Can't connect to MapleRoyals , getting the SC/firewall msg.

I added the MapleRoyals IPs to my hosts file manually, downloaded the new Client and the restarted my pc, and its working now. Thank goodness xD

 

That is also happening to me (i live in Brazil, but that doesn't change anything). As far as i know we just have to wait a couple of days in the worst condition, since the MR ip changed we can just wait, and it'll be automatically fixed.

Tried all of these steps, and still can't connect. I got on earlier once, then nothing but firewall/server check error.

UPDATE: Apparently being persistent and keep trying to log in eventually gets you in somehow I guess. Good luck to all those still stuck!

 

Yea, I heard that as well and it worked for me as well. Weird

 

Just don't forget to remove the entries from your hosts file at some point when you don't need them anymore, or remember that you did this next time you can't get on both the game server and the website. Because after a year, I almost forgot about it haha and it took me 5 extra hours to realize in order to get back on the website. : )

I'm on Mac and I got the same. Tried to edit host file but it didn't allow me to. Do I just have to wait?

EDIT: I downloaded the full setup yesterday. Today I downloaded the .exe file and it works now.

 

huh where did u get just the .exe file.. last thing I remember was that my Windows Defender keeps deleting it suspecting a virus file

Hey Everyone, sorry to tag you again but now that I'm back, I did some investigating and the new client no longer connects using royals.ms so editing your hosts file to try and connect to the game won't help you out. The only time this helps is when you can't connect to the website, like in @Shawn 's case. https://royals.ms/forum/threads/cant-connect-to-mr-servers.51945/

Since you were able to get on the website before editing your hosts file, please undo any changes you made to your hosts file as they did not help you connect to the game servers. This doesn't even help connecting with the old client. (I have figured out how to connect using the old client but this fix provided isn't it.)

Using the new client, even I have had issues at first connecting to the game but after about 10 tries, it worked like normal again.

Before changing the hosts file i was able to connect to the website. I tried connecting using the new exe multiple times immediately before changing the hosts file without it working. After making the change you suggested and rebooting it let me get in the game.

 

Am I the only one left who still cant login?
Have the same problem with both of my computers.
Tryed all solutions multiple times and still wont work.

Any ideas?
