So, a couple pieces of equipment require 20 fame and I only have 8 currently. I rather not have to bother people to raise my fame, so I need to know which quests raise my fame, preferably by more than 1 point.
Killing papulatus is a good one. Most area boss quests that are very good in giving fame are not working so wouldn't bother with those until new source.

Urban jungle in NLC is a daily quest that gives 2 fame each time. I'm not sure if initial turn in gave 2 or 5
Jump quests give fame, I'm pretty sure that shumi's lost coin gives you like 5 fame! Let me know if you want to JQ together, I find jump quests fun!
Cursed Doll quest in Ellinia from Rowen gives a lot of Fame for each tier of the quest chain you complete. http://bbb.hidden-street.net/quest/victoria-island/rowen-the-fairy-and-the-cursed-dolls Be careful if you go about doing this chain as it requires Sleepywood quest with the Sauna Robe being done first.
