I just thought of this and figured I'd throw it out there. Why not. Hope my brain didn't just copy it from somewhere unknowingly, lol. Idea: The event would take place in a major town (or a large map). Players would be given a prompt along the lines of the template "If there were a(n) ______(portal) in ________(town/map), where would it be?" Or "If _______(npc) came to _______(town/map), where would he/she be?" ex. "If there were a Free Market in Kerning City, where would it be?" Players would then have a given time to move to a spot of their choosing where they think an FM (or whatever npc was in the prompt) would be placed. The players would then sit down on a chair to confirm they have chosen a spot. The GM would then stun the entire map for judging. The top however many players closest to that point that the GM picked previously win the event! RULES: If you bunch up around a ton of people you're DQed. No multiclient (make the time window short to choose a spot maybe) eh?
Sounds like quite a fun idea - not entirely sure how workable it would be, though. Judging who's closest to a certain spot might prove trickier than it sounds.
Right right, maybe a gm could drop an invisible item. Like a quest item only they can see. Idk if that's possible.
Thanks for the suggestion However stuns last too short and the likelihood of players moving after they've chosen a spot is too high, so I don't think this event is feasible. More suggestions please!
