Just experienced this error on a system I've been playing with for weeks. I haven't made any changes to resolution or settings. "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unsuual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information." I was in the middle of a Krex run when the error occured.
@khanhtrannnn @allenymf There are three possible solutions for this issue. Solution 1: One of the most popular solutions: set compatibility settings to Windows XP Service Pack 2. To do so, perform the following: right-click your MapleRoyals icon>click Properties>click the Compatibility tab>check mark the Run this program in compatibility mode option>from the drop down menu select Windows XP Service Pack 2>click Ok (You must be an admin on your computer). Solution 2: Download the appropriate C++ redistributable package for your computer. Before doing so, please check whether your computer is a x64 bit or x32 bit system. To check this, perform the following: click Start>right-click My Computer>click Properties>look for System Type. You will see either x64 or x32 - that is your system type, and keep that in mind for the next step. All you have to do now is download the appropriate C++ distrubutable package. Click here to download the x32 bit package, and click here to download the x64 bit package. After downloading and installing, restart your computer and the issue should not happen again. If it does, please update me; I personally believe this is the reason people receive the run-time error, but I am not 100% sure..more like 75% leloroni. Solution 3: Clean re-installation. Do the following: Completely uninstall MapleRoyals>restart your computer>re-install MapleRoyals I'm sure the issue will be resolved through at least one of these solutions. For those of you who are also having this problem, please feel free to tag me or get in contact with me if you need any assistance or are confused! Thanks
Thanks, I did uninstall and reinstall. I'm also trying out Matt's new client. Will let you know if any issues persist.
@KIMOCHEE Hello there. I previously had this problem before the patch, did all 3 steps and seemed to work but i didnt have enough testings with boss runs to find out (it doesnt always occur) So, after the new patch i uninstalled and reinstalled again, seemed to be smooth, up till earlier when the problem occurred during bossing again. I'll try the steps again and see how it goes but it should not have occurred as: 1) A complete reinstallation was done 2) C++ package has been downloaded for x64 Extra Info: -By the way, Im running on a macbook air late 2014 with windows 7 x64 home version basic boot camped . -My bootcamp came with a 2012 c++ for x64 and a 2010 c++ for x86, now I also have 2010 c++ x64. -Do you know why I have 2010 c++ x86 and is it the cause of the problem? Should I delete any of those? Like deleting the 2012 x64 or the 2010 x86?
Nvidia graphic cards and windows 7 don't get along very well. From a little searching this is basically everything useful I found. "A runtime error is a software or hardware problem that prevents a program from working correctly. Runtime errors can occur if you are running two software programs that are not compatible, if your computer has memory problems, or if the computer has been infected with malicious software." Then basic reinstalling, turning off antivirus programs/firwalls, security settings with your browser.
@Andreas I'm not running on nvidia graphics though, running on intel 5000 or something like that, not very good with these things. Are u able to tell me what the x86 files are? And should i delete them? was thinking they mess up with the x64 files
Hi Drick, From the information you provided in this post, it is quite possible this is simply due to your computer's lack of power. I recommend using Windows-based computers, as they are stronger for gaming. However, there are still a few things we can try to get it working without you having to pay lots of $$$ just to play Maple Royals! I already posted this in another thread, so I will quote myself. Please try the following (REMINDER: This method is an alternative to using Bootcamp. Meaning, we DO NOT need Bootcamp at all): Keep me updated - if you are confused in any way, please let me know. We can always TeamViewer and I can do this for you via the remote assistance tool. Thanks, Z
Hmm, ill keep that method in mind. @KIMOCHEE For now ever since I changed the compatibility to me/2000 bossing seems to work fine. So far gone a week of bossing without any errors appearing other than dcing from lag. Runtime hasn't appeared in awhile, should I just stay as it is for now? However I am interested in vmware as it allows me to just run in while in mac without having to keep switching when i boss. 2 questions: - Would vmWare possibly encounter the same problems? Some of my friends who use parellels/vmware also face certain errors sometimes. - Can I try running vmware while my bootcamp is still installed so i can test both sides?
Sounds good! To answer your questions: 1.) VMware may have its own issues, but from my experience, it has minimal errors. Even if there are, they are easily resolved. It all depends. 2.) Yes - you can run both
@KIMOCHEE Hey again, are you able to help me with this? Right now i dont get anymore errors EXCEPT for my client just closing without giving any errors at all. So I'm not exactly sure what to do to resolve it.
This happens to me too. Its quite possible its just because of the client we have, and will be fixed in future updates. If it gets too frequent, then let me know and we can diagnose it.
