Hello fellow royalers! If you have ever gotten bored of Royals, I share your pain.

As time goes on, I feel that Royals have been getting extremely boring as item progression / leveling has gotten to a stand still where playing the game is no longer fun.

Here are some suggestion that could make a new world potentially more enjoyable for years to come.

    1. Remove Leech / HP washing

Leeching fundamentally destroys the server. It makes it easier to level, earn mesos and discourages training parties. It makes it so that beautiful maps are left empty and people are left playing solo. Very depressing and dissapointed to see a server dominated by leeching activities.

HP washing is cancer that discourages people from making a NL, BM, or sair as their first class. It punishes new players and forces a player to play a certain way. Sickening.

Please get rid of this terrible design. It is hurting our fanbase.

    2. Make it harder to level

Why was 2008 maplestory so amazing? Because it was fucking hard to level. This makes it so that players can focus on other aspects of the game such as socializing, questing or item hunting. The only "fast" way to level back then was

    1. PQ
    2. Join a grinding party with a priest.

Both of these methods are fun. But the game shouldn't be about leveling (unless you want it to be). It should be about having fun, doing what you want, while at the same time, getting some sort of reward. :)

    3. Increase scarcity of scrolls / end game equips. (All Scrolls including weapon, chaos, and ws)

This seriously needs to be implemented. It's not fun when you are a new player and several people are running aroud with perfect +7 10% weapons and 20 attack capes. Balance it out. Make godly items harder to obtain.

Back then, a +6-7 60% weapon was considered godlike. A 10 att glove was considetered insanely late game good. People should be proud of their items not dissapointed because everyone else is much better. Back then, the 2008 economy was balanced. Let's bring it back where only a select few players who are extremely hardworking or possess leadership qualities are able to obtain godlike items.

As of now, some Chinese farmer can make a bishop and sell leech non stop to make several billions. He can literally farm a guarenteed billions a month.

This is unhealthy for the economy.

Nostalgia, (or other experienced player like Plenty) what are your opinions on the end game economy? I for one dislike the fact that someone can sell leech for months and obtain your level of items. It pisses me off.

    4. Introduce new content that encourages questing or parties to complete.

I feel that Mapleroyals can be an even greater server with even more people. It can potentially be the best private server that ever existed.... we just need to make it happen.

I'm glad to see people are taking the time to introduce feedback for the server, although some points have been brought up many times. Here's what I think:

    1. I don't think leech should be removed. I may be wrong, but wasn't leech a common thing back then? I'm not a player of Pre Big-Bang, so I wouldn't know. Anyways, the removal of leech would be very negative, since the entire sever somewhat runs on the basis of leeching. I agree that leeching doesn't seem like a very nostalgic way to get your levels, but as of now, leeching has been so integrated into the server now that entirely removing wouldn't be very pleasant. As of hp washing, I can see where you're coming from. Ever since I discovered hp washing, I was devastated to hear everyone tell me that I was screwed and had to remake my thief etc etc. After looking around for a while, I have come to conclude that hp washing is absolutely not necessary as the common saying says otherwise. It's merely a luxury, something that if you have the money to invest in, you can end up with a high hp character that doesn't have to rely on HB, can tank bosses, all that good stuff. People have told me that they barely hp wash and have gotten through just fine.

    2. From what I can see, a giant majority of this community are adults now. Of course, growing up has it's drawbacks, and we simply just do not have that time to invest into a game as we did when we were all kids. In all honestly, I think 4x is the perfect rate. It's not hard to level up, yet you notice the time that you have to put into the server to progress little by little. If we changed it to 1x, sure, it may be nostalgic for a while. But what about to the people who have jobs and other obligations? Leveling up would be a chore, and being stuck at level 45 isn't something people would like to spend in the free time they're playing this server. All in all, the current speed of the server is pretty optimal for what it is.

    3. To be honest, I have no idea what to say for this (lol). When I first entered into the game, I definitely saw all these Night Lords and Bishops with the end game gear that they had. But I wasn't too envious of them because I knew for a fact that they had put some type of effort into that character. To address the issue of how a Bishop and endlessly grind/leech for mesos, it is sort of like grinding in a way. People are paying you for a service in which you're killing monsters (hey, sort of like grinding like the old days!). They get levels, Bishop/Mage gets mesos. Definitely a win win. As of right now, I'm not too concerned of how the market is doing, probably because I'm completely ignorant to these types of things.

    4. "Introduce new content that encourages questing or parties to complete." When I first read that, one thing immediately came into mind. The fact that bringing other content would have to be from later versions, which sort of downplays the "nostalgic" concept we have here. I do think that Pink Bean may be coming. I may be wrong, but wasn't that boss in Pre-Big Bang?

Everything aside, I do appreciate your concern of wanting to make the server greater. Good job mate

Look, there are ''hard'' servers out there. MapleRoyals is popular for a reason, as to why the others are not.
