Why hello MapleRoyalers! I come before you with a mighty simple suggestion for Maple island mainly but could apply in other parts of the game. This valentines event has been a wonderful blessing for those of us on the island with the rose drops, and even for those off the island. Thank you, I say. Anywho, I would like to suggest an idea for a few events. 1. An even where some sort of ETC item drops at a rare rate. You can trade a few of these for the Lv. 0 Maple Helm. After achieving this, all the next upgrades (Lv. 8,30,70,90..) will require much more of said etc drop and a small mesos fee which increases as the level of the hat increases. Also you can trade in many if these items for a maple umbrella (Lv. 30) This event is awesome for us islanders and it is even helpful for those off island, 70,90... Helms can be decent alternatives to ZHELM. 2. Strictly island event. An event where Lv. 35 & 43 swords drop at a very rare rate, or even a permanent event. Islanders were able to achieve said items in the official server during anniversary events.
Can I add some suggestions for this event? If I remember correctly, Maple anniversary/birthday events were held in May, which also happens to be the anniversary of Maple Royals (2013 incarnation, that is - it was around for 5 months in 2008 in a very different form). So... how about a Maple Royals 1st Anniversary event in May? My proposal for this event is that it wouldn't be limited to Maple Island, but would include Maple Island in the celebrations. During this event, Royallers would be able to get hold of nostalgic Maple items that aren't usually available. For example, first anniversary candles could drop at a very low rate and be exchanged at the Maple Admin (including the one in Southperry) for items which included the first anniversary bandanas. These bandanas would be useful to Islanders and players below level 50, would be something rather nice for the few of us (*looks embarrassed*) who aren't able to complete the Zakum Jump Quest and for the most part, would just be a cool nostalgic pose-object to wear around the FM or put on our mules. There could be a chance to win a Maple Tree chair in this event, too, which would be nice for Islanders and those who haven't got lucky in GM events. The Maple Umbrella could be another potential prize, or could be an any-monster rare drop. We could also have a cake monster event like the one we had for Matt's birthday last year, where weapon attack scrolls dropped from cake "bosses" (which were actually a souped-up version of regular cake monsters.) As Falco says, there have been official events where Maple weapons did drop on Maple Island as well - I don't see any reason why we shouldn't do the same for the anniversary event. Sorry if these suggestions aren't coherent - I feel insanely tired today!
