Help! The game won't open!

    I bought a new laptop (Acer Aspire E 15, windows 8) and Mapleroyals won't open anymore
    it always gives me this error : [​IMG]

    I tried running the setup and it tells me :
    Unable to gather up your system information.
    Please check if you have DirectX 8.1 or higher installed, and then try it again.

    But the thing is I have DirectX 11.

    Help? :c

    Edit : Oh yeah, I could open it last night after reinstalling it, and it gives me the same error again now and reinstalling doesn't change anything.

    Edit 2 : Sorry, I didn't see the troubleshooting section...It works now lol nevermind me

    Hit Ctrl + Alt + Esc, and the Task Manager should open. Now in the tabs at the top, click details (If you see no tabs, hit the more details botton at the bottom of the task manager). In the list of processes, find all processes pretaining MapleRoyals and end them. After that, reboot the game. You might have to do this a couple times, but it should work in the end.

    Right click the client > properties > compatibility tab > run the game in compatibility for Windows 98/Windows ME
