Thought I'd share this, as it is somewhat relative to the upcoming donation system. I couldn't have put it better myself. There are some really shitty developers out there... Be careful about what games you play.

Interesting video... That guy is funny. Maplestory throughout its lifetime is like the perfect example of both ends of what he's talking about. I think of this in terms of what you guys are doing with donations as definitely something good. The server as it stands right now in relation to its intentions for its users right now is great. It's a game that is here for the enjoyment. It is not for profit. It's not a game that was launched on a set budget that was intended to pay for itself and then some. That is one major thing that sets this apart from anything or any game that the guy mentions in the video, which is awesome to think about. The second thing is that the donations do not have the destruction that BB brought on to the game. They are for character looks. I think this is a fantastic median. Maplestory itself set this up great the first time. You sacrifice a potentially great game for money, or money for a potentially great game. There are quite enough stupid people out there to buy into anything, but for those quality individuals looking for a good game, it's the ones who open up equal opportunity to every player for some real competition that shine. It's just a matter of what the dev wants. Money, or a solid game. Most strive for a middle ground, but anything in between usually ends up on the wrong side. We've seen it in GMS. In most cases, like this server, some money is needed for quality. So there has to be some money involved. There has to be a middleground. I really think though, this server is set out on the right track with how it is, even if it does grow to such a magnitude, (somehow without getting shut down, lol).
