I have JUST hit 15 as a luckless magician probably going I/L and according to the guide I'm supposed to be fighting bubblings. However, my spells are barely doing anything. I think I need better equips, but without luck I can't equip anything...am I doing something wrong? I'm used to post-BB servers so it's been a long time since I've attempted this version of MS.
Even though this is a 4x server it's still harder to level than post BB. You'll also be muuuuuch weaker than anything post BB so you'll have to get used to that. As far as bubblings go, it's probably a bit early for you to be there. You'll probably want to wait till around 20. And don't worry about getting equips, you'll be weak for now but it'll be worth it in the long run.
Good to know that what's happening is normal. I can get them now, just had to level a bit and up magic claw.
