Halloe! So, there is this event map called Coke Town, which was an old sponsored event in JMS/KMS I believe. So, I thought, maybe it could be a nice idea to ressurect this area and add an event to it! The area has several coke related items to it, which is listed below. Well, first of all it is unique. I've never seen a private server have an event in this place, and people might be curious to explore an old place. Plus, the items are pretty neat (plus the background music is lowkey good(click2hear). The biggest issue I have with adding coketown is that we would then be copyright infringing on The Cola Cola Company due to the maps using official Coca Cola logos. The Coca Cola Company are a considerably larger company compared to Nexon, and I feel the risk of adding this content strongly outweighs any benefits. All CokeTown really is, is a few snowy maps covered in branding, with reskinned mobs. I'd rather the server have the most chance of continuing to operate rather than adding some content that might be fun for a few days.
Agree. Sad to see a company which is producing flavored sugar water have more Impact than the company which actually designed this game originally. May MapleRoyals live another 5 years
How hard would it be to change the visible coca cola logos to something else, maple cola for example, or to simply erase it with a solid color. From the bit i see it seems like not thát much work, and i like the event idea. We could also change things to a cocaine theme and keep the name coke town. D
