Introduction With a lot of people not being certain when they can started a certain boss, I thought it would be great to implement a boss timer command. This way we can see when we are able to enter a certain boss. Seeing that no one really can be arsed to write it down, I feel this is the perfect solution. Implementation I would like to suggest to make a command ''~Bosstimer'' that shows the exact time when you entered a certain boss. If it wouldn't be impossible that way as in a timer automatically setting once you entered a certain map, I'd think it would be possible to create a ~set horntail/krex/zakum (1 /2) , manually setting a 24 hour timer for yourself. Then use the command ''~Bosstimer'' to see when you ran for a specific boss. Example Log ~Set zakum Time set -For Zakum- at 11:00:20 PM (server time) Time set -For Zakum- at 11:44:30 am PM (server time) ~Set Horntail Time set -For Horntail- at 3:25:20 AM (server time) ~Bosstimer Your first Zakum fight was at [22- 03-15] 11:00:20 PM server time! Your latest Zakum fight was at [22- 03-15] 11:44:30 PM server time! Your latest Horntail fight was at [22- 03-15] 3:25:20 AM server time! Note I edited the thread because only a latest timer wouldn't come in too handy. Adding a first fight timer, would much rather be useful.
I will move it but basically "I'm too lazy so let's have the server make a command to make life easier for me." Sorry, not buying that argument. This has actually been discussed before and turned down. You might want to search for the thread so you can do some more research on the previous proposals.
Hmm yeah fair enough, I should have put it more like, it's easier to remember this way. Because I personally forget to write it down (as I would write this after a run and isn't precise enough). A command would make it easier for me to remember because you can make that a habit once you start a run every time. I'm not saying you can't make your idea a habit, but this way it would be easier to remember and also make the time more specific. PS: Since you stated ''let's have the server make a command to make life easier for me''. Would it help my suggestion, if I made one for the server using C++? So you get to convert it to your system and easily implement it.
I think we're generally against the idea of anymore commands and even potentially some of the commands we currently have implemented. This is something you can easily track and I'd rather not have the server more "private servery" than it already is in this aspect.
Ah okay that's fine, but just in case the staff ends up liking the suggestion I'm more than happy to write you a timer script <3
I was being sarcastic about the "let's have the server make a command for me" statement. I think for it to actually be coded would be trivial, but thank you for the offer, it truly is appreciated. However, I know we are generally against implementing more commands which take away from the nostalgia experience of Royals. When you had cooldowns in GMS, you didn't have a timer. You had to keep track and write it down somewhere. Again, to me, that's part of the strategy behind the game. You need to keep track of stats, numbers, timers, etc. not rely on the game to do it for you.
