I am aware that Account Sharing is perma-bannable offense here in royals. But my question is why is it wrong ? Who is affected by acts of account sharing ? Unlike ks-ing and language abuse which involves a party that is either directly affected (e.g. losing exp, emotional abuse due to language), I can't comprehend how account sharing can be such a serious offense. Is it due to dev profit ? Since making more accounts = more profit for wizet. I didnt think this could be a reason for a private server. Views that this provides an unfair advantage to those who do share accounts seems quite unreasonable following the "i do me, you do you" principle that applies to leeching services. That is just imo though feel free to disagree.
All opinions and gm answers to this question are welcomed ! 0:)

Look at the bigger picture. if account sharing is allowed, that means anyone can sell their account info to someone who wants to have a high levelled character, with perf equips without going through the hard work, and they can always just say they are sharing accounts rather than buying accounts. That leads to real world trade which is a serious offense and eventually leads to pay2win, which is what the GMs are trying their best to prevent. Plus, if account sharing was allowed, some people will have an unfair advantage. If say you share an account with a friend who has a bishop, you can use his bishop to power level yourself. The GMs are trying their best to make it fair for everyone in this server, which I think is a good thing.

At least this is my opinion on it. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

    Ch0rus sums it up nicely.
I'd like to clarify that during the early stages of royals, the competitiveness to be the first level 200 was extremely high. You can imagine how important account sharing was at that stage of the server. We actually ended up banning the first-about-to-be-200 (literally at 199) for account sharing.

It's a very necessary rule and I'm quite pleased we have it.

faster to 200 (rankings, yes it matters), someone can do your zak prequests, 24/7 goby grinding increases the mesos in the game, etc, etc.

Also wanted to note, yes you can self leech, but you have to put in the time to make one first (and the funds to get gear/books). It is completely unfair for you to be able to use a bishop without having to put any work into it. At that point it's not "I do me, you do you". It's more like "what's mine is mine and what's yours is mine" which is exactly what we want to prevent. There also have been cases where people give away their info and then their "friend" steals their stuff. A lot of people expect us to be responsible for that too, but by preventing that any sharing happens at all, we can minimize those cases as well.

GMs and Admins don't want to deal with the eventual cases that leads to item ownership problems like a few cases that have already happened.
