Love him or hate him, what Kobe has done for the NBA over the last couple decades is unmatched. Time to say goodbye to somebody who always looks to improve everyday, someone who took over the West along with the Spurs from 1998-2010, and lastly a person who whole-heartedly devoted a good portion of his days on what he enjoyed most - playing the game of basketball. Can't wait to see what's in store next! This video nicely sums up his career: Spoiler Vino, Black Mamba, Kobe Bryant - Thank you
Read this earlier today, it's about the days before Kobe tore his Achilles. Great read that shows just how much of a competitor he is. You don't really get that anymore in the NBA. I absolutely hate Kobe, but man how can you not respect him? Both at the same time.
Bryant vs. Utah Jazz: Final Chapter. I'm pretty sure I know which which game we'll be following more closely
Little known fact, every time Utah and LAL met in the playoffs, the winner went on to the Finals. (Yes, Utah only won twice )
I watched Kobe's final game with some friends tonight. I still can't believe Kobe scored 60 points. What a way to end his final game of his career, and with a strange twist of irony, his last action in the NBA ends with an assist. Kobe keeps on giving and L.A. has been truly blessed having someone like Kobe always giving his 110% every game for 20 years. I've been watching Kobe since his first championship with Shaq in '00 and I was only in 5th grade at the time. Kobe has been in the league longer than I have started watching NBA. I am a L.A. Lakers fan because of Kobe; and as a Lakers fan, I have been spoiled because I grew up watching Kobe play. It's hard to imagine seeing a league without Kobe for me. Say what you want about Kobe, but you have to agree he is a true competitor and a winner.
