The first character I created is a Slinger. Reading around here... that doesn't sound like a good idea. How necessary is HP Washing/having a mage to fund this character? When should I start HP washing? Any other advice I may have missed when looking at the old Slinger guide? Also -- if I'm creating a mage first, would it be okay to make an F/P Wizard, or is it Bish and Bish only?
First of all, I reccomand you to check out the crosair guide in the forum. Anyways, you should do only whatever you want to do! Slinger is hard to train as you may know, and getting equipes wont be easy neither (since its your first character), but having nice dps doesnt require badass gears (in 4th job ofc), and you can always make bish or F\P mage (bish is better if you want to leech your future crosair ). about Hp wash...accourding to the guide (in short), its not that needed to wash them. Btw, hp washing isnt a must at all, its just luxury. GL in the server, and I hope to see you around~
Really the biggest reason to HP wash is to allow to either do some bosses sooner (like HT) and safer (either by avoiding being 1 shot or not being dependant on HB) HP washing a good thing to do, but it is no means required. But its also a lot of effort to do for a newcomer. Mages are good, there is a reason why bishops are so popular but it doesn't mean mages aren't good either. Mages are considerably stronger and cheaper to make then bishops. (with the exception of skelegons and gobies, bishops win in those areas). Just remember you will need a HS mule to sell leech as an archmage. (which means you have to be able to use 2 clients)
