Hi , mi name is Mirko, and im addict to this game :C (jk) Well... i have played this game since 2006 and i quitted months after BB (¬¬). I had lots of characters 120+ in GMS, mainly because i like the basic of grinding. Sound crazy but killing monsters with awesome music and a good conversations is so relaxing (the reason why i love this game xD). Doing this characters i always tried to grind in new areas and monsters, to check %/hours and drops, and that is what i am doing in this server too . So... to put a little context, back in the days, the areas of grinding were soooo limited, especially 50+. In fact, the final areas of grinding were evolving to the current state. For example, a little timeline could be Phatoms Watches > Squids/Gobys > Himes > Newties/ Skeles > ToT. These training camps appeared so on point in GMS, and the mission was to avoid the point in which you train a lot to level up and the point when it takes you forever to get 1%. These was also a problem for ppl 50+. For example, the timeline at these levels is Zombies > FoG > MP3. With these aditions and PQs, the lvling at those levels was "easy". The point of this post is to check the reason of why ppl changed these maps in those years. For example we have Zombies. Zombies IV in GMS back in the days was as popular as GS2 in this server today. Partys everywhere and maps full of ppl. But it have a cost: 1) You have to walk a lot to get there, and also you have to walk in an area with high level monsters. 2) Zombies (back in the days) inflicted poison, so you needed a lot of antidotes (extra money to train). Also you need pots of cold protection. So you need lot of pots to train there. 3) The geysers in those map used to stun, and was very annoying... So, when the new areas appeared (FoG especially), Zombies maps in GMS were empty for a long time. Why? the time and the money was not worth it (and the exp was quite similar). Now im so happy to see people actually training in Zombies for experience and money. Without the poison/cold / Stun is also a smooth training place, so the only disadvantage of these map is the distance. Another example are Samihos. When KFT appeared, Samihos were quite popular as a training place. Then a genius move of Wizet decided that samihos should inflict Curse, and with that move the map was killed because the time/money that you spend using holy waters was not worth it. Here in royals is the opposite and Samihos are a good training spot (good spawn and good money too). So... without some status effect we have good training spots that can help with these problem that have MapleStory: The lack of variety of good maps to train. Now, in this server, the end game maps are Petris/Skeles/ToT. Skeles/Petris are full of Bishops/AM ulting non stop and selling leech 24/7, and ToT is a high lvl area that require lvl 130+ and lots of quest. Currently 120-135 are hell levels for most of the classes (except bishops and AM) and the lack of maps and content is something that need attention. Training with my corsair and calculating exp/hp and exp/hour ratios i have discovered another map, Crimson Guardians. They have good exp/HP, a good map (the map inside CWK is better but w/e) and Bishops/AM cant train there because they are strong againt fire/ice and inmune to holy, but you have to walk a lot to get there (or you can simply do the map quest in CWK) and you get curse... a lot... one of the special abilites of these mobs is that you get insta curse if you AA in a range, that is huge. Without these status effect, this map could be a good choice to train at those levels (120-135). Also is a good map to party (something that i really miss :C). Like these monsters, exist a lot in maplestory that inflict status effects as a "fun" mechanic, but also killing maps in the process. Idk if is easy to remove these status effect from monsters (assuming that curse/poison are bugged in RMS), but maybe it could help to get more training places and variety TLR: Some monsters inflict status effects as a "fun" mechanic, but in the proccess they are killing maps. Maybe you can disable status effects in some maps to add variety and places to grind cought especially Crimson Guardians cought.
