Buying Zakum Helm at level 50

Hi, guys, just to check is it advisable to buy a Zak helm at level 50? My cleric just turned 50 and I am thinking of getting one asap. Are there any requirements for the process of getting the helm other than doing the prequest to join the run?

 

• Not being on mac, you need to use parallels/bootcamp
• Have good potions, using red pots won't save you
• Having a pet is always nice, to help pot
• You need to GFX during the run
• If you are on windows 7 and have a Nvidia graphic card using Vmware player is advised.

Thanks for your reply. Does the Vmware apply only to windows 7? I'm on windows 10 now.

 

Well the only reported problem are with Windows 7 and Nvidia graphic cards.
If you do dc in Zakum on Windows 10 then VMware and Windows XP is a good solution but you shouldn't dc.

So does that mean i cant zak on my Mac?

 

from my experience it's better to set mapleroyals in compatibility mode for win7 if you're win10 and bossing, if you don't boss it's better windows 98/me

 

There have been a few successful runs on a Mac but the odds are heavily against you, install windows using parallels/bootcamp.

 

Did not know this, was just about planning to try to buy a zak helm while playing on a mac...
