So I had just started playing, got to level 8 I think (I am new), and my game just crashed out of no where. When I tried to re-open the game it stated 'The shortcut cannot be used because the file no longer exists or has been changed' or something like that. I tried to restart my computer, I uninstalled original MapleStory, I uninstalled and reinstalled MapleRoyals several times, and I just don't know what else to do. Could someone please give me some suggestions to fix this issue? I really miss old MapleStory and was really pumped to start playing it again! I'm running Windows 8, Thanks!
It's either windows defender/your antivirus software that is deleting the shortcut because it detects mapleroyals.exe as a malware.
So how would I go about fixing this, and I don't think I have anti-virus, even if it was the case though, why let me play for an hour and then suddenly crash?
yo waddup my boi. Click start menu, type windows defender, click on it. Then go to settings. Add exclusion. Create a folder called mapleroyals and add that to the exclusions. Then reinstal mapleroyals in that folder. TCG
also the game sometimes crashes like when going to job advance rooms or and some shit like that. also if u get an error when like -23112358158 when trying to load the game keep retrying like 10 times and it will work. TCG
If you are talking about the parameter incorrect error have you changed the compatibility on the client?
yo yo mah boy. Ya thats what i be talkin about yo but yaknow for some odd reason compatibility are unable to be changed so i just mash it till it works
If all options are grayed out click on "Change Settings for All Users" Should open up the right side message
