Yeah, it's sad, but the truth is that we don't even get near 1999.
A mage level 200 will have around 1300-1500 magic (depending on funds).

I'm all for balance but if its the patch that changes the skill colours i'll be sad
Like the ugly pink magic claw / somersault kick and many others, and firearrow that looks like the blaze wizard's

Yeah, that's a massive "DO NOT WANT!" as far as I'm concerned. But if we do upgrade the skills, it should be a case of changed damage percentages and not changed appearances.

I'm not a full 100% sure on this, but I think the massive appearance changes to numerous skills are all part of the Big Bang Adventurer revamp, thus will not be changed, since this is mainly a discussion of changing the Skill Table to either v86 or v72.

Yes, v.80 seems likely, as I recall this appearance-change being there in v.83 when we tested it out, pre-wipe.

As far as I know, if we decide to go with this upgrade, we will not be importing new files, merely editing the existing ones with new percentages, etc. (Admin and devs, let me know if I'm wrong in this!)

So almost 3/4 of the vote are in favor of the change, any word on whether this is going to be a thing or not? :D

In my mind it's already 75% since anesthetise voted no, which was obviously a troll vote, since he is the one that wanted v86 tables before anyone.

    Time to convert:
Aquarium, BossLan, Catlaunch, Chocho7, Geox, Gi, John, Katsuruka, Liek, lilronnie, Lulz, Manslut, Marty, Mood.

No point in trying to convert anybody, and it's extremely unlikely there will be a revote. We've already gotten close to the percentage in favour that Matt was looking for, so just wait patiently and let admin make a decision.

I will not change my opinion on this. Everything that's being suggested as 'rebalancing' makes one or more classes stronger. A while back someone suggested to make bow(wo)men and rogues use their ranged attacks at close range. Noone liked it.

If you're all for rebalancing, maybe consider decreasing the strength of the 'OP classes', pretty sure noone wants that.

I believe Royals should remain a challenge. The challenge of reaching your 4th job. The struggle to reach it, and the achievement of reaching that point. Given that Royals is already x4 EXP compared to the orginal version.

I don't think the rebalancing is intended to take away the challenge. Rather, it was Nexon's attempt to make all job classes equally, if differently, appealing to players. When 4th job came out, some classes genuinely did draw the short straw. Nerfing is pretty much a no-no (ragequitters), so the only way to achieve any kind of balance is to boost the underpowered/disadvantaged classes.

I do agree with Kat here. There's 3 scenarios: 1) no change, 2) buffing the disadvantaged classes and 3) nerfing the 'OP classes'. 3 will definitely come with ragequitters; 1 might, too. As much as I voted no on this one, if the majority of the community wants it, I honestly don't see a problem.

If a class is weaker than the other in all aspects, we make it stronger albeit differently, so it is equal to other classes and serves an equal challenge with equal rewards. That is our suggestion.

The issue here is not that MapleRoyals is too much of a challenge, but that it is not equitable in the challenge it poses to its players.

It's not even really asking for huge buffs or anything, it's just some classes have skills that are flat out useless and AM ults cost an absurd amount of MP and pages just don't have a lot to offer

...and we've just reached 75% exactly in favour of these changes. (48/64 votes)

Bandit is my favourite class and I've been playing CBs/Shadowers since I started playing Maple in 2005. Yes, they are weak and disadvantaged, but they are also the absolute most fun class to play, hands down. To me, I always thought that the balance here was that you get to have the most fun playing your class, but you don't do huge amounts of damage. If you're going to be super fun and super strong, it makes a class OP. I'd rather have fun and be weak than be really strong but boring to play. Because of that, I've never considered CBs to be unbalanced in comparison to other classes. I'm perfectly fine with keeping skills how they are.

You can't take something subjective (fun) and compare it to something objective (damage). There are a lot of unsatisfied CBs/Shads that would disagree with you, if they were here since they all quit. Why are you against a buff to your own class? o_O You're still not going to be anywhere in the ballpark of "OP", you will just be competent.
