whaaaaaaaaat............................... I get banned for cussing?!?! I stayed there for like 2 seconds. LOL
I would like to appeal the ban because this is simply outrageous. I see no point in me getting banned because 1. I barely know the guy. I was simply surfing through the channels and looking for an empty GS2 map. I did not go out of my way to purposely threaten or harm this fellow player. 2. The KSing issue: When you change channels, there's monsters in front of you. I did not purposely KS this guy because I have something against him. I just wanted to clear the mob in front of me and reach the pole so I could change channels. The thing that irritates me the most is that he did not even say "cc pls" which I would've respected and changed channels. However, he replied with "..." which I took to offense. It's interesting to me that people are irked by a SINGLE SLASH BLAST to the mob and even go lengths to screenshot it, rather than talk to the person and discuss this issue. All in all, I am asking for my ban to be removed or even reduced. I have been a faithful player in this server since December 2013 and this is my first "offense". I am just confused to see the server admins take cursing so seriously, even when cursing is prevalent in so many MMOs. One more thing "Verbal abuse is the excessive use of language to undermine someone's dignity and security through insults or humiliation, in a sudden or repeated manner." The key word here is EXCESSIVE. Notice how I didn't say anything to him after I changed channels? You can even check the chat logs yourself because I simply moved on with the life and even forgot about this incident. And to the player who reported me, I am sorry if you took my words to that extent. I did not mean to harm you in anyway. Wouldn't it have been easier if you whispered me that you were irritated by my words and instead of typing "..."?
It's nothing to do with KS'ing. And it's not simply cussing, you directed an insult at a player. And as you said: So you don't know him, and you say you didn't go out of your way to type 'YOU FUCK' at him. I don't really see how that is plausible.
I'm going to ask this again. Why am I getting banned for throwing insults? I'm pretty sure GMs see players throw insults at each other all the time. Yet this I get banned because some dude ss'd it and posted it on the forums. Are you kidding me? Most of the players I have talked to are mature enough to shrug off insults like this. This isn't Club Penguin. This is MapleRoyals.
I don't know about here, but on GMS and EMS, a lot of people would somehow manage to take offence at "CC plz", too. >_< It's not like he was rude to you, he just typed ".....". You were, however, unneccesarily rude in your reply to him. I do wonder if we ought to introduce a 1 day ban for minor offences like this, but I'm not sure how workable it would be, in terms of definition of minor offence and how it would work in cases of repeat offences.
