I'm a new player who just started playing as an assassin and I literally had no idea about hp washing. When my friend told me about it, I was already around level 51, and I thought I was too late to the party. I read some guides off of Mapleroyal and other sites, but I still have a lot of questions which I hope can be answered: 1.What are the hp/mp gains per level in Mapleroyal? I've read that it was between 20-24 for hp and 10-12 for mp, but I've tracked how much I gained starting from level 55 to 56, and I found that my mp had increased by 14 disregarding INT bonus (for level 55->56, 933 to 948, for level 56->57, 948 to 963, I have 14 INT). 2. Are there "partial mp" when it comes to bonuses from INT? I know every 10 INT upon levelup grants an additional 1 mp, but since I have 14 INT, upon levelup, would it count as 1.4 mp or would it strictly just be 1 mp? 3. Should I use my levelup AP to train my INT? One of my greatest worries is being able to fund for INT equips to be able to gather enough mp to hp wash without sinking down to my mp cap. Using my AP on INT is tempting, as I wouldn't need to struggle trying to obtain high-INT equips with a small wallet like mine, but would doing it in order to AP reset all the INT after hp washing be worth it and be cheaper than buying INT-equips, or should I mix-and-match? 4. Do you get a hp/mp boost when you finish level 70 job advancements? I've searched up hermit job advancement videos from GMS 2007, and their hp/mp values don't change upon advancement, but I want to make sure, since Mapleroyal often adds content that's not in the original GMS. 5. Can I still make it? My goal in hp washing is 7600 at level 155 because it's apparently a good starting point to be able to fight horntail without needing the hyper body buff. I'm currently level 58 with 1727 hp and 979 mp. I've used a hp wash calculator, and using average values, it said I needed 141 resets with 136 INT, which I'm assuming is the amount of INT I need starting from level 58. However, I don't really know if the calculator is accurate, and I can't really confirm it either, because I burned out when I was wondering what to do with all the numbers I somehow ended up finding. 6. Is it worth it? Honestly, I don't really mind needing to team up with a person with hyper body, which means I wouldn't need to hp wash so much, but I'm not sure how much I should wash then. Should I change my goal? I came to Mapleroyal for an obvious reason: to relive the old-style nostalgia. I've went back to GMS several times, but each time, I'd be bombarded by events, quests, and updates and new additions constantly and I wouldn't have time to settle in. It's not like Mapleroyal doesn't update, but it updates at a pace and speed that I can follow, which is probably how I gravitated toward this game, despite its slow leveling progress, which is drastically different compared to GMS when I played it (which doesn't discourage me, honestly. I played Dark Souls around the same time I started Mapleroyal and I just make fun of it and say they're both just as difficult, which is not true). I always loved playing assassin: I thought throwing stars was fun, but when I read about hp washing, I felt sort of sad knowing that the class I liked wasn't quite noob-friendly. Even so, I don't intend to stop playing just because of it, and I've been putting efforts and trying to find out effective ways to make money in order to be successful. Sorry for the long post and the sort-of life story. If there's any suggestions or advice about hp washing or playing as an assassin, please let me know. Thank you!
1. Your minimum mp increaces with each lvl up, thats why you gain 14 mp each lvl, but it doesnt mean you can use it for washing. 2. No, it rounds down. 3. Mix your int from your gears with ap youll pump in int, int gears are just too expensive, so you should do that. 4. Yes, and youll get hp bonus in 4th job too. 5. I think you can make it. I can't make right now calculations to know for sure...but i guess peopel will gladly do that, and even if not, its not a very hard goal, so i believe you can do it. 6. people did it back then without washing. Hp wash is basicaly a luxury. You dont have to do that, its just a way to do bosses at early lvls.
Thanks for the response. It gets me motivated knowing that 7600 hp isn't often a hard goal to reach. I think my plan now is to get essential items that aren't just for hp washing like zhelm and deputy star and invest AP on INT at the same time.
Your in the right way, Gl in the game~! I suggest you to invest more time on leveling up and reaching 4th job asap (how good items can help you if you aren't able to do things such as bosses).
