I recently logged in at my university to vote, which turned out to be a bad idea. Turns out someone at my university also plays MapleRoyals and had voted before me, which yeah that's awesome, but now the university IP seems to be tracked to my account or something, because I haven't been able to vote for the past 2 days. Is it possible to remove the IP from my account or something? Not sure if this is the correct place to ask this.
You can't be using your university network to vote if someone else is using it. The IP does not track your account.
I understand that, but I'm no longer using the network to vote - I've been using my home network, which I know no one is voting in.
Then the problem is not related to your IP, but your computer. If you have played or play from the same computer as another player you will run into voting issues. Could also be caused by some network adapters, the problem is on your end.
Only I use my laptop, so that's not causing the issue. I've been voting perfectly fine before, but since trying to vote at my school, every time I've gone to vote, it's automatically reset to 1439 minutes - 24 hours.
Not sure what you mean with automatically resets. If you entered your account ID and clicked vote does it say you have already voted wait 1439 minutes? Are you sure you are not logged into the game, and are using the correct account ID?
Oh that's embarrassing...I've been voting the whole time - by double clicking the vote button, it'd load into the "You've already voted today" page.
Sounds more like it was related to the voting problem over the last few days, some changes have been made, I believe you won't have this problem anymore.
