Ya know this never really bothered me until i got a 3 day ban lastnight because no GM came when called which led to worse things happening. Ive attempted to contact a GM about multiple issues since i started this server two months ago about SEVEN times. Including topics such as;PQ Bugs, Lags, DCS, KSing,Harassment & last but not least the incident that took place lastnight, which was about my 6th or 7th try. Id appreciate if next time i need help from a GM, i recieve help, cause i have yet to get it. Not 1 single response which leads people to think they can do whatever they want even if you tell them you called a GM.but yet i say one thing and i get a ban because of one little screenshot after you guys MISSED THE WHOLE SITUATION cause you didnt come when called upon. If you guys would be there when needed and provide support,situations like this can be avoided. Do your job. Thanks, but no thanks.
Trust me that i speak for others, its a big topic of discussion on this server. And if they dont wanna do what they applied to do, then they shouldnt be doing it period. Yeah i understand they "Unpaid" But they werent forced into that position. They asked for it.
When you sign up for a job, or a volunteer location, are you on call 24/7? No, you aren't with the exception of a few careers. You could have the done the same thing and just reported it on the forums like they did. You didn't bother to obtain evidence of your issues and expect us to do all the work for you? Thanks, but no thanks. It's your responsibility to obtain evidence and report it if you don't receive a message in game. No one gets a response to their ~gm every single time, to demand that is incredibly selfish and unrealistic. That's why the forums exist.
If that's the case, I look forward to hearing what others have to say. As Jeen said, you could have done what the other people did and report it via the forums. Right now, however, it appears more you're trying to come up with an excuse, rather than take responsibility for your actions which we deem unacceptable for this server.
Yes i called him a word that i shouldnt have and i do take full responsibility for that that was bad on my end, i also understand you cant be here 24/7 because people have things to do and lives to attend to, this is regardless of the ban,which is fine ill suffer the consequences.Im just stating that, out of 6 or 7 times i tried to ~GM since i started playing there was "nothing" Are you telling me that option is useless now? If so, now i know.
The option is definitely not useless and there's no reason to view it that way. Earlier today I was watching the interns reply to ~gm messages while I was dealing with ban appeals and report abuse threads, I think they did a pretty good job responding to the messages in a reasonable amount of time. From my own experience there will always be a few ~gm messages that don't get replied to, which can be caused by many reasons that have nothing to do with us not wanting to reply to them. A couple of reasons that come to mind from my own experience is that sometimes people spam ~gm messages which makes it hard for us to deal with it all, sometimes people write ~gm messages without any details to what is going on, and sometimes we happen to be helping someone with his or her ~gm message but it takes longer than anticipated which means it takes longer for us to reply to other players. A lot of players are impatient and expect us to reply within 1-2 minutes after their ~gm message, this just isn't a realistic timeframe even if we weren't volunteers. And with that said something I'd wish players would come to realise is that it would help us a lot if the player writes a decent ~gm message, does not spam us and give us some time to get to said player, and if it happens not to have been replied to within 30 minutes to please send another ~gm message with the same details.
I've also used ~gm in game a few times without any success. But instead of breaking the rules and complaining about it, I gathered the evidence and submitted a report which was replied to within a few days. I think the staff are doing a great job considering how many ban appeals, abuse reports, character issues, etc they have to deal with every hour of every day with the limited staff that they have.
