Just a rant.

Goodness, I've never met anyone who made me facepalm so much in Royals. So as a Priest, I'm looking for a party at Ulu2. My expectations aren't high, so I'm alright with an attacking party without Arch Mages or Bishops. I'm stuck with a 3rd job F/P using Poison Fog across the map since I'm out of options. His IGN is "HaoChe" in case you guys are curious. We party for a little while I HS him. I suggest that we get more attackers so that it goes faster.

However (and here's the kicker) he says that it would be "less fun" for him and that it would mess up his attacking. Mess up his attacking? How and what does that mean?

Disagreeing with him, I kindly explain to him the rationale of getting another attacker so the monsters spawn faster and we get more EXP in the long run. Obviously, he still disagrees and says the same thing, how it's not as "fun" for him having other attackers. Because of the lack of open channels and lack of non-leeching attackers, I was pretty much stuck with HaoChe for a little longer. When a decent DrK enters the map, I highly suggest that he add him, also adding that having HB would help us considerably. HaoChe, like a broken record, uses the "Not As Fun" bulls*it card. Then, seemingly out of spite, he kicks me, a PRIEST.

Honestly, how much more STUPID can a person get?

After kicking me, he says a few more spiteful things that just pissed me off. I criticize at how trashy he's acting and I defame him and leave. At any rate, I'm able to find a map a 15 minutes later or so and party with a friend. Of course, HaoChe defames me a few hours later (my friend fames me moments later). I tracked him and he was CCing, maybe because he lost his map.

Anyways, I just needed to get this fire out of my system. I realize MapleRoyals is just a game, but things like this are just unnecessary and toxic. I'm happy about how nice the vast majority of people are in this server. However, it's hard to believe how disapproving people like HaoChe are.

 

I don't play F/P's but with poison mist I can imagine the person losing exp if others kill the mobs while in the process of misting.
Don't know what you are trying to accomplish by calling out another person for apparently no reason.

 

I don't play F/Ps either, but I understand what you mean with Poison Fog. I have been in parties with a F/P mage and at least one additional attacker and it was faster EXP for everybody. However, like the thread said, I'm just venting at how disrespectful this person was and how some of my friends didn't agree with his actions.

 

I am finding most of your thread very disrespectful and judging by your attitude he had very good reasons to kick you.

 

If you saw the situation yourself, you would understand where I'm coming from. I never threw any disrespectful remarks to him and yet, he seemed to throw quite a bit of fire to me. People will have their views and opinions on viewing threads, but the lack of empathy from your comment is very discouraging.

 

To be honest, I find you to be an entitled, toxic player. You look down on how he wants to play the game and calls his desire to do what he finds fun as a "kicker." You have nothing but vitriol because you didn't get what you wanted. You use so many personal attacks against him because you didn't get your way and you don't consider that he kicked you because you kept being pushy and wouldn't stop being so demanding. And just because you have HS and he kicked you, you call him stupid. Your comments about fames, defames, and him ccing and assuming he lost his map just show so much malice. And you even wish him ill will.

Well, IN-GAME, I didn't say anything, but I guess I did call him stupid in this thread out of frustration.

I probably could have worded my rant with better words, I'm really sorry guys. I didn't mean for it to sound like this. I'm just so angry at how unexpectedly he treated me when I was trying to be as nice to him as possible without sounding overbearing. I didn't constantly pressure him to get people, so I just let him do his thing. I guess I didn't use the appropriate choice of words when I went to the forums because I'm still steamed.

 

Sounds to me like a misunderstanding, things like this happen all the time don't worry about it too much. You guys were both trying to do what was best for the party and that's what matters!

 

Thanks for understanding. It was just so sporadic the way he suddenly acted. And then of course I got fumed and criticized the way he acted.

 

Seems like he comes from an Asian country where some players are less versed in english (purely judging by his name). I've encountered enough Asian players to just know that sometimes what they say may seem brash, but they can't convey what they want to say very well. But anyways, since it is his map and is the owner of the map, as much as you want what is best, he calls the shots. If you don't like the way he's training, you have the freedom to just leave from the situation.

 

Yeah, you make a really good point. I didn't say anything else and let him have his way because there weren't any open maps or parties recruiting HS. If he is Asian, his English was actually pretty good. Whether or not his choice of words was because of English being a second language will be a mystery, but he certainly could have handled it better.

 

Long story short, I could have started this thread better, the problem has been resolved after speaking with my guild and alliance and I appreciate some of the comments of this thread. This thread can be locked.
