Have you ever been wronged by evildoers who are kill-stealing in your map? Have you ever been denied justice due to the lack of appropriate evidence your screenshots provided? Well, look no further. Use Puush! To any GMs reading this cliche opener, I hope this thread does not violate the T&C (Numbers 15 and 16). Introduction With the New KSing Report Format, it's come to my attention that not everyone understands that they require multiple unedited screenshots containing the full client to use as evidence in their report threads. As a result, people have had their KS report threads closed and are left with the experience of feeling helpless and lost within this community's justice system. As simple as it sounds to hit that PRNTSCRN button and paste it onto Paint, then save it and upload it to an imaging hosting website (or whatever the procedure for MAC is), I strongly recommend people to use Puush - a FREE easy-to-use screenshot program to capture all their screenshot evidence needs. How to Use Now I would just slap the website link here prior to the tutorial for you guys to use and follow along, but I think you should be the judge of whether or not you want to download something a stranger just told you to download on the internet. So I'll leave the download link at the end. After you have download the Puush program, an icon will appear in your taskbar indicating that your first step to filing a report thread is but a Puush away! (The Arrow icon facing upward) Spoiler: Taskbar Icon (Sorry if I offend anyone for keeping my taskbar on my right-hand screen!) To begin, start by right-clicking the Puush icon in your Taskbar, you can select whichever screenshot option that you want! Or for those who are more sleight-of-hand, you can use the easy-access shortcut commands provided! Spoiler: Puush Control Panel As a quick rundown of what each option does: Capture Current Window - takes a screenshot of the current application/program that is currently being used and nothing more. (This is the typical command I use for taking screenshots in-game as it captures the entire client!) Capture Desktop - takes a screenshot of your ENTIRE desktop monitor (i.e the image above is what my desktop had at the time) Capture Area - using your mouse, you can select the area on your desktop to capture your screenshot. (I wouldn't recommend this as this is the primary cause for why report threads don't succeed.) Uploading clipboards and files - I won't get into this as it's not really needed for the purpose of filing a KS report thread. To access the screenshot you just took, a website link will be automatically generated for you and any others with the link to view using a Puush domain! Spoiler: Example http://puu.sh/qwbx5/9f25e1c769.jpg Maybe you feel that you don't have enough screenshots or want more screenshots to use but also feel that you will end up cluttering your computer. Worry not! Puush has an online database that provides each user with their own personal gallery to view all their screenshots from. To access each image's website link, click on the image and a new tab will open OR you can right-click and save the link address. Spoiler: 10/10 Gallery | Don't ask... BUT BEWARE. IF YOU DELETE AN IMAGE LINK, IT CAN NO LONGER BE VIEWED UNLESS YOU SAVED IT TO YOUR COMPUTER. Just to let you know, all the images provided in this guide were collected using Puush! Filing a KSing Report Thread As much as this sounds like a PSA for those in need of a screenshot program, it is more importantly a PSA to help gather sufficient evidence to file your KSing report thread! Where do I begin filing my report? You should be posting your report thread under the Report Abuse section of the Support subforum. Before filing your report, remember to gather the following unedited screenshots to use as evidence in your report: You asking the person in question (aka The Visitor) to leave as you would prefer that they didn't train there with you or loot your items. Do this politely and properly as a simple "cc (plz)" will not be accepted in the Royals Court. "Please leave, I wish to train by myself (or with my party) here." You explaining to The Visitor that you are the current owner of the map by typing the ~mapowner command into your chat box and explaining to The Visitor that kill-stealing is not allowed on MapleRoyals as stated in its Terms & Conditions. "Please understand that ksing in the mapowner's presence can warrant a very possible ban due to TC." "Please do not ks me, the TC does not allow ksing the mapowner." Time Stamps (using the ~servertime command) This is where it gets difficult. An initial screenshot of The Mapowner using the ~mapowner and the ~servertime command must be taken after The Visitor refuses to leave and continues to KS. A screenshot two minutes after the initial screenshot containing the same commands: ~mapowner and ~servertime. If you are handling a Boss KSing issue, remember to include the ~bosshp command in the first screenshot; then when the boss is hp is low (check again using ~bosshp) is when you can take the second screenshot (doesn't have to be a two minute interval) One example of a proper report thread containing several unedited screenshots Remember to keep a cool attitude and don't panic. Resolving the issue with senseless and pointless personal attacks won't get either parties anywhere (except a report thread for a different reason, in which case you can also use Puush to gather evidence with -smilyface-). Spoiler: Afterword I hope I didn't bore anyone with this great wall of text and that this tool suggestion will prove to be useful to you inside and outside of MapleRoyals. For those who have had their threads, with chat logs of the misdeeds that a person has done to you, closed with no action taken against your offender, I hope you begin using this tool to assist you in similar cases in the future (though I do not wish for you to encounter similar scenarios). You might feel helpless or cheated when a post saying that your offender could not be punished due to the rules that constitute a proper report; but do not shoot the messenger. The GMs are not ignoring you. They can probably sympathize and understand the ill-intent provided in the evidence you posted, but their emotions can't get in the way of their job. That being said, you can now use Puush to help gather multiple, sufficient, and unedited screenshots for the GMs to properly review! Thank you for your time to read this! Happy Mapling!
