When a friend comes over and we use the same internet to play mapleroyals simultaneously, will this be regarded as "Logging onto someone else's character in order to leech your own"?

    Thanks for answering in advance!

If you're talking about your friend using your PC / your connection to log into his character to leech you, then no, that's fine.

I believe GMs do track MAC addresses when it comes to account sharing, obviously having a friend over to play maple isn't against the rules. You'll only get banned if there's a hint (over a period of time) that there are 2 people using the same account.

In addition to what FlameHaze has said, just know that you are liable for whomever plays on your internet connection, meaning that if your friend decides to hack or something like that (just a hypothetical) you both will receive a ban that won't be lifted.

Just wanted to mention that as it's a recurring problem seen on the ban appeals!

That is perfectly okay. Lots of students who share the same dorm use the same connection to play by the way. You have to take note of what Ruffle said too

But he is not allowed to vote using my internet if I already have voted that day, right?

    Correct.

The only way in which both of you guys could vote when using the same internet (hence the same IP address) is by applying to the voting whitelist - if you're planning on having him over and playing together for a extended period of time, I'd recommend applying for it. But worse comes worse, one of you can connect to your phone's internet (via a personal hotspot or bluetooth) and just vote using that.

And a side question, the game will auto update itself right? I don't have to manually install any patches or something?

Alright thanks! Could you clarify the above question I just posted?

And one more side question: When does the 24 hr cooldown start ticking? At the moment I successfully voted or is there a pre-set reset time everyday? How do I know I am allowed to vote again?

It resets the moment you vote. If you're curious as to how much time you have left in between votes you can just try voting again and it will give you a message like "You have already voted. Please try again in 1092 minutes." Also, if you haven't voted after the 24 hour mark, when you log on you'll get a little message on your chat log saying that "You're now able to vote."

The game does not auto update as we currently don't have a patcher, that will change in the future.
So you are required to download any patches manually, only requires to download the setup and then install it to the same folder.
