Hi, I haven't touched Maplestory in about 9 years and just discovered this server last night, I think I played GMS about v45-v55, so never even played v62. I decided to lvl a bishop and started playing today. Unfortunately I think I messed up already (lol). Firstly I handed in a quest just before I took my first job advancement, which resulted in me taking it at lvl 9 instead of 8 (so I missed skill points) . Then I lvld to 15 before realizing I didn't read the guide I was following correctly and maxed Improved MP Recovery first. Now I'm lvl 15 with only 5 points in Improved MaxMP increase, so I'm permanently going to have less MP now right? Just wondering how badly I messed up - I can easily restart from lvl 1 to fix it but I thought I should probably get some advice first. Thanks
I mean you didn't royally mess up and nothing that can't be fixed with one MP wash. The skill point can be deducted from MP recovery. I'm pretty OCD so I would probably remake considering it takes like an hour max to get a magician to 15, including maple island and slime tree grind. You're maybe missing like 30 MP max.. Also, 1st job skills don't really matter when you're 4th job. You'll be chugging ginger ales faster than you can recover from Improved MP Recovery.
Maxing it 2nd won't be that big of a difference I think if you don't want to restart, but in my opinion level 15 is very easy to get to and I personally would just remake because those kinds of things bother me too haha.
I agree with the comments above. It's a small difference but getting to lvl 15 is a piece of cake... so I'd recommend remaking it. You might want to read some guides in the forums beforehand, so you'll be informed of, not only how to make your character good, but also the most efficient way to lvl. In my opinion, it doesn't matter whether you've played v62 before, cause things are a little bit different in royals. Good choice btw, for starting off with a bishop.
