Is your Antivirus blocking the app? You might need to add an exception to the mapleroyals game folder

I don't usually see that problem with windows, generally speaking, check task manager for any stuck mapleroyals.exe and close them, make sure the client is running in a compatibility, open with admin rights, make sure you downloaded the correct setup it's not uncommon for people to download the Open Beta instead, maybe some problem with the UAC settings/firewall/antivirus.

    Try this:

    1. Uninstall the game.
    2. Turn off windows defender and antivirus.
    3. Re-install the game.
    4. Add exceptions to mapleroyals in windows defender and antivirus.
    5. Turn defender and antivirus back on.
    6. Start the game.
    7. If it doesn't work, turn off defender and antivirus and try starting the game again.
