So when I downloaded MapleRoyals and launched it, my system went crazy as expected, since it's apparently a false positive. However, when I ran a Windows Defender scan, a suspicious program named Mapstosteal came up. After some research, it turns out this is infact a malicious keylogger. After that I ran a scan on the exe file in itself, to check out if the file is really the point of origin, and the file came up. So I tried doing a system reboot to about 2 days ago, which should delete every trace of the file, the file still came up in the scan after the reboot. Also, when I tried to quarantine and delete mapstosteal, it turns out that it duplicates and stays in the system. So not only is this suspicious, but I also had to do a complete system restard, putting it back to factory settings, which took me a whole day. So I would like to hear an actual explanation as to why this happened.
That does not happen from downloading the setup from MapleRoyals. I can't explain something that has never happened to anyone else before so feel free to post your proof of this client being a keylogger and how it duplicates as no one can replicate it.
I will run a Virtual Machine and download MapleRoyals on it right away. Just to mentain as well, I don't belive this is a malicious website as you guys are pretty nice. But better safe than sorry.
