Hey guys, why aren't there any events going on in the server? I used to play some years ago in private servers where GMs would do Jump quest events and things like that, and it was so much fun...totally made the game experience a lot better. by the way, a quick question, is it true that the server will become a V0.83 in a couple of months? Heard a rumor...
GM events have been out of business for a little while since they appeared to cause some issues so it was better to not have them until the new source. We do have events so that's not accurate. It will not be a v83 server, the client used will be v83, which only means that there is a lot more potential is what can be done, for an example Mu Lung Dojo, CWKPQ, Pink Bean You will not see a lot of v83 content in the game, the bad stuff has been removed.
What do you mean new source? What source? I look at the latest notes and updates on the MapleRoyals website and can't seem to find any notes about events that were going on in the near past... What about Monster Carnival PQ?
It isn't very difficult to find information about the new source, it's linked on the Home Page, Shoutbox, a big poster on the forum page, several announcements, the whole beta section on the forum page. There is also the search bar. Ok I'll search for information about the source. About the events, exactly... look at the dates mate. Last event was 3 months ago! And it wasn't really an event, it was just a x2 EXP and DROP.
Well to be fair the new source hype section of the forums hasn't had a recent update, announcement, and is almost dead enough to be classified as a legend instead of a hype. I check this forum sporadically in hopes of eventual new source hype and I don't know what's going on, i'm sure it could be extremely confusing for a new player.
I don't know what the hype section is but the official announcements posted do a much better job to explain the new source than I would and are a lot more detailed. Has been said quite a few times already around the forum, no new announcement yet though, but in the current pace and with no big issues it will be released this year. Wouldn't call 14 months enough to create a legend either
Regarding gm events, there has been a fair share of those in the past. Unfortunately at the moment they have decided not to host any gm events because of problems with timers (I think) which is supposed to be fixed in new source. There has also been a few forum events lately, none going on right now as far as i know.
