Dummy Scrolling

1st or 20th scroll have the same odds of wasting the WS of yours, as stated it is independent from other events (otherwise would be MAJOR engineering negligence).

The real dabate is whether or not the RNG function is nondeterminism. If it's deterministic, it can be accurately predicted if it can be predicted, it is not random. This is the only way the scroll would not be totally "random" but this has nothing to do with dummy scrolling ^^

 

I am not a ws expert here, but I can say I bought and scrolled maybe the top number of 70% scrolls in this server,
gonna share my thoughts here, maybe will help someone (dont know)
So these are some facts I found out while scrolling tons of 70% scrolls,
Dummy does kind of work!
so why do I say this?
here are the things I found out,
I believe that there is some time in the game like random time that scrolls for each % of scrolls that would work well, like certain time of hours saying that either 70% or 60% or 10% would have a better success rates, so by using dummy scrolls I believe would have a better chance of knowing when it has a better rate so I intend to use dummy in all kind of scrolling (even on chaos)
so it is not something about pure luck when it is a computer programmed thing (not like flipping a coin)

I would say that during the game certain time 70% scroll would work like 90%, and of course could work like 50% as well, this goes same with 10% 30% 60% scrolls too

 

Keep telling yourself that something works and you'll believe it. This whole concept sounds like a giant superstition or placebo effect. It's like someone saying walking under ladders is bad luck and then they walk under a ladder and something happens to them. Must've been the ladder, right? If only it weren't for that ladder!!!!

 

Try scrolling 1 ws-10 at a time vs 10 at a time and let met know how you do.

I'm interested in how many times you guys have done ws-10 vs how your results are

 

Why hasn't everyone learnt that in this progressive society that tolerates every belief, the objective right is no longer significant! *winks*

some people dummy scroll and it works. some people dummy scroll and it doesn't work. some people don't dummy scroll and it works. some people don't dummy scroll and it doesn't work. if you hear your friend dummy scrolled and made a 91 craven in only 10 WS then of course you will try it and here is how the myth and legends begin. good news and stories will pass quicker and better than bad ones!

Anyone here that says dummy scrolling doesn't work obviously doesn't know what they're talking about. Believe me, guys. Dummy scrolling absolutely does work. The reason is because of something called statistical averages. I'm not sure if any of you have actually taken probability in school, but you can trick the outcome of scrolls by scrolling ONLY when the average result is in your favour. By failing a lot of scrolls in succession, you're basically tricking the game by playing off the fact that the random number generator always must deviate to the mean outcome.

Don't believe me? Well listen to this story: One time my friend in Bera was trying to scroll a perfect claw. I told him to try changing channels before he scrolls (that's what I used to do before I found out about dummy scrolling) but he told me about a new concept. We noticed that approximately 70 ~ 80% of the time, whenever he failed 10 scrolls 60% in succession, the next scroll would work (claw scroll). Coincidence? I don't think so.

When computers generate random numbers, there's a pattern to it, like anything else in life. Obviously if the pattern is negative (scrolls failing) then the pattern must eventually go to the other end of the curve (scrolls passing). After extensive testing, I realized this works even better with 10% scrolls, except I would fail around 50 ~ 100 in a row before using a "good" one. I wish I could provide video proof of these tests, but you'll just have to take my word for it.

Actually, believe it or not, my GF was only ever interested in me because I could scroll items so well. I made all her weapons and equipment because she didn't really understand how "dummy" scrolling works. It's not something you can really "teach" unfortunately, you just kind of have to "feel" the right moment to use a scroll. I know that might sound stupid, but it's worked for me and all of my friends. It's just a matter of using a "good" scroll around the time where the computer deviates to the "mean" or average random outcome.

I scrolled the best item I've ever made in Henesys. My whole guild was there to witness it. With only 11 white scrolls, I managed to land 7 10% glove attack scrolls on a BWG. I probably wouldn't have been able to do it without dummy scrolling. I failed about 50 trash 10% scrolls before each of the real ones, I remember being so excited every time I heard that satisfying sound of the scroll working. My best friend was leeching someone at the time and couldn't be there, so I had to go meet him in Singapore to show him. He didn't believe me. When I went over to Kerning and took the plane over, I was quivering with anticipation. Well, the plane landed and when I came out, there was a dude who looked like a GM standing there with my name out. I ain't trying to get banned yet, I just got here, I logged off with the quickness like lightning, disappeared. When I came back on, I whistled for a cab. As it came near, I saw the license plate said "DUMMY" and it had tinfoil hats in the mirror. If anything, I could say that the cabbie was right, but then I thought "nah, forget it, let's call it a night". I pulled up to Maya's house about 7 or 8 and I yelled to the cabbie "yo holmes, scroll ya later". I looked at my kingdom, I was finally there. To sit on my warrior's throne as the henehoe with a cool lookin' blue chair.
