Hi! I've tried several times to buy a zhelm, though my computer can't handle it. I've dc'd everytime before 2nd body (yes I change graphics). Is there any way I could get a hold of a zakum helmet since I always dc? Since you're not allowed to share accounts I'm not able to let someone else play on my character.
The only way to get the helm would be to survive a run yourself, whether on your computer or someone else's (as long as you are playing). In terms of the solving the dc issue, it would be helpful if you can provide information on your computer (operating system, graphics card, memory).
Currently playing on my girlfriends old Macbook, don't have any other option at the moment. So basically, if I can't make a whole run without disconnecting I'm not able to get a helm?
I think they should implement a system that deals with disconnects. For example: 1) player dc in zak/HT 2) A time window of X minutes open (usually between 3-5). 3) If the player tries to relog during the time window, he gets instantly warped back to the boss. 4) Else, back to Elnath/Leafre. I've seen this in most servers and think it's very useful & fair towards people with a weak PC/Internet connection.
Yes, seems pretty unfair since I've done the prequests and spent alot of money on pots and VIP-rocks.. I'm able to survive, it's just that I dc when body changes.
That is highly abuseable as someone could dc from player issue or die and log off and then be rewarped back in for free and would not be implemented. Furthermore, the new source that is supposed to come out before the end of this year is supposed to get rid of all dc issues. I think it would be counterproductive to delay the new source by implementing a system that won't even be kept when we could just get rid of the issues completely ^^ If you are playing on a mac, I highly suggest you look into parallels or vmware as many players find it necessary to use one or the other to be able to boss properly. You aren't alone!
I play on a macbook air (2013) and I manage to survive zak 2 out of 3 times by constant gfxing--there are really bad lag and graphic glitches every single run tho. When I had parallels trial (running windows xp), I had no problem with dc at zak, so I would highly recommend it.
