I've been having a hard time playing this because the game keeps closing, I've given it all permissions on my computer, turned off all my virus protecting stuff while playing, but it still just closes whenever it feels like it, some days its after every 40 minutes, but today its been closing consistently every 2 minutes after logging on. Any ideas on how to fix this? The problem never occurred with regular MapleStory.
I would like to know if, by 'closing', you mean: 1) It disconnected to the login screen; 2) It crashed with an error code; 3) It crashed completely without anything popping up (and it isn't open in the task manager); or 4) something else. Try and think back what you were doing exactly before you disconnected. Sometimes, things get bugged (i.e. opening someone's character info, merchant (only occurred once), or dis-summon your pet). If that's not the case, have you checked if the whole server dced due to server lag? If not, see stuff like: 1) if your computer specs are compatible; or 2) windows firewall isn't blocking mapleroyals; 3) unstable internet - these should be unlikely.
By closing, I mean that it closes as if I had Alt+F4'd, just sudden black screen and I'm back on my desktop, with nothing in the task manager. I usually immediately open it again and log back on, there's never any error message that comes up, and the game closes again after a few minutes. Nothing specific triggers it from what I can tell, its happened while walking around, while I'm in my inventory, while I'm in a shop, and while I'm killing monsters. As far as I can tell the server never died, since sometimes it has closed on me while another player was in the same map as me, killing monsters, and when I quickly log back on, they're still in the same map as me, killing monsters. My computer should be compatible, considering that it has never had this problem with regular MapleStory. I have tried disabling all anti-virus software I have and running it, but I didn't realize Window had its own firewall, I'll check if that works. Also my internet is usually very good and stable, so that shouldn't be the problem.
I've been having the exact same problem as you... its pretty annoying and I have no idea how to fix the crashing....
