I used to play alot of maple back in the day and i just wanted to get back to it again. I started a thief and got it to lv 17 and it seems its was better to start as a mage instead. So i was wondering between the mages which would be the best to level? i am guessing Bishop? Also are there any beginner guide for starter players playing this game like leveling spots and what to do and what not to do. Where to spend NX and so on. I also found out that the 4x Exp doesnt seem to work on the beginner place.. was that a bug? One last question whats "HP washing"?

You may be interested in this guide: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/compilation-all-in-one-guide.29213/ 4k exp doesn't work on Maple Island so that you can complete the quests without over-leveling; it's not a bug. HP washing is a process where players use extra base INT or INT equips to gain extra mp at level up. The mp can be in turn resetted into hp. This process allows classes with less hp (nightlords, bowmaster/marskman, corsairs) to fight stronger bosses. For more details, look at Pheelo's hp washing guide. Good luck and have fun!
