Currently applying for Data Entry jobs, which required me to test my typing speed. I was surprised: 130 WPM with 0 errors.

Thought it'd be interesting to compare speeds with you folks.
You can find the test I used here.

I type very fast. In a minute about 50 words.

I've tested various times, I usually average about 100 to 110 wpm though the highest I've ever gotten was 120. Just depends on the test and how it's made. If it's one that you type full sentences as you go, I tend to score less because I don't read as fast and I dont remember the words I read. If it's just single words a string of them at a time without any fancy punctuation I'll score much higher.

Yeah I agree Sila. I've also tried typing tests where they give you a bunch of single words and you just type them one after the other. A lot of the times, I also feel that I perform better on those because they pick words that one would commonly use in every day "speech" (well, in this case, typing). On the other hand, it's different with those ones where they give you a paragraph to type out or something. Like you said, there's a lot of punctuation in there, along with the uncommon or even weird proper nouns that throw me off for a second.

But if I type for an extended period of time (at least during a single test), I find that I do start speeding up near the end. Once I sort of get into the... idk. Feeling. Or rhythm kinda thing, y'know?

Edit: "I also feel that I perform better on those because they* pick words"

I average 70 WPM, with my fastest being 130 (and an error rate of 0.87)
However typing tests are often inaccurate for me because of my disabilities.

Damn, some of those were actually pretty hard.

Was on my 13th phrase on my first run and they had a spellcheck error (red squiggle) on 'theatre' (copied directly) which threw me off

65 wpm with 3 fingers and having to look down at the keys. Noice.

I would really like to learn to touch-type with dvorak, but I need to take baby steps
