I downloaded the new patcher today so as to update my client and want to give some feedback on a few things. First, its set to be on top of all my other windows. This is not okay. It limits what I can comfortably do while the game updates. There is no way to exit the patcher apart from killing the process in task manager. If this is done to protect file integrity from stopping the update in the middle, and I can appreciate that, but I feel the user shouldn't be limited in his control of software they have decided to run. Finally there is no icon on the taskbar, which as mentioned before, makes the only way to have control is killing it in task manager. I feel these things need to be addressed. As I'm writing this I have to continually scroll down to see the text hidden underneath the patcher. Thank you.
Was about to open a thread about it, but then noticed you already opened one first. 100% agree. It covers my whole screen and it's really annoying :\ I wish I could move it to a different area but no. Can't do that.
These are all good improvements which should be made but actually there seems to be a few other problems that users are experiencing so I have removed the patcher for now.
I also got the Problem i ran the patcher a realy long time and didnt see and % of progress after 1hour. So i decided to cancel the patcher and download manually (reinstalled first to be sure). And were done in not even half of the Time. Since you don't see DL rate or % of completation. I wasnt even sure does it work or does it get blocked. The patcher was a great idea if it will work to get next time, the possibility to see the DLRate, the percentage of completion and run it in background. Your Patcher would be Perfect. Anyway good job i was suprised a Pserver has his own Patchers instead always let the users reinstall.
