Hey, My computer just stopped working on me , so now I'm looking into either building a desktop or buying one done. I just need advice what you think I should do. The only things I really do on computer is search web, just play maple and watch you tubes videos and stuff. So I'm definitely not a intense computer person.. If anyone has recommendations id highly appreciate it.
Definitely build or upgrade your current one. Premade ones usually boast about a spec that is indeed top notch, but may have poorer parts in other qualities (unbalanced for budget), + installation fee. If you want to build it, you can also have people recommend you a part list with your budget. Building is also a fun experience to know more about how each part works, how they go together, and what you can do if parts stop working in the future!
First id give us a max price you are willing to pay. You can either build one or buy one and if your willing to watch youtube videos to put it together or know how then it may be cheaper. If not itll be cheaper to buy one. But a max price is a good starting point.
-Intel i5 6600 processor on amazon for $237 -Asus z170 motherboard on amazon for $148 -Corsair Vengeance LPX 16gb DDR4 2x8gb chips,3000MHz,C15 memory kit. $93 -Any Mid Tower Case on amazon that you want. (60-300 dollars -graphics depends on price you want to spend in total. Evga nvidia cards are good. (Anywhere from 150-400 dollars) -EVGA 700 watt power supply $53 amazon -thermal paste for processor $8 amazon This is a mid range rough build and your in the $800-900 range. For prebuilt you could get a dell desktop. Inspiron may work for you with at least 8gb ram and youll have to still buy a graphics card to throw in. Id add more info but im on vacation at the moment!
Well you can build or buy an i3 too I guess but imo i3s are shitty. And amd is cheaper also but also not worth the money.
dont buy anything until cybermonday or black friday sale. have the list out ready though. check newegg.
What part stopped working? what parts do you have available? list the specs of your current pc please.
Depending on the budget if you're looking for a mid tier gaming system you can opt for a Ryzen build https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/Zm2pHh Something like this could get you 60 FPS in most newer titles like Fortnite on medium and PUBG on low. If you do go an AM4 route I would recommend getting a newer motherboard (X470 Series) because the Ryzen 2400G wouldnt be compatible on some of the earlier Mobo's unless you flash the BIOS which can be dangerous (you would also need a CPU to flash it on as well). The integrated Vega graphics in this APU is heavenly so you wouldn't need to opt for a GPU unless you're going balls to the walls try hard for frames in which case get a Ryzen 5 2600X and a 1050ti in the build. mmmkay bye
