From what I've observed since I joined this server, magician is nothing more than just a leech seller/mule. They're also not very welcome in boss fight. So is it still worth funding a class that are used for meso making?
Nice avatar Kitxy. It depends on your goals but mage is by far the superior farming class. You don't necessarily need a bishop if you don't mind using 2 clients for an archmage and priest to hs yourself.
It definitely helps you start out so that's it's easier to fund your main class, but don't feel pressured that you NEED to make a mage. I never made a mage and I got by fine.
Thank you guys! But you've all misunderstood my question. What I'm asking is that, is it worth spending mesos on expensive EQs for mage?
For every minute you plan to play mage you are getting more value out of your investment in equips. More meso investment = longer time investment for payoff. Investing if classless int gear like bathrobe/red marker/etc also doubles as gear for hp washing.
I think that you either go all or nothing in terms of funding your mage class. There's no use in a few equips if they won't get you anywhere, including skill books. You either go big or go home. And bishops are very welcome in boss fights. Pretty much essential in every single one of them just because of how great Holy Symbol, resurrect, & dispel are. So yeah, if you plan on making your mage class your main or selling leech for a long time, I would totally fund it with gear / skill books.
