Hello, I have a feedback on the current ~mapowner rules. According to the current customs, a person can take ownership of an empty map, and still be owner if a boss later spawns, preventing a different player from taking it for a big period of time. A person can also intentionally leave a map, and later claim ownership even if it didn't want to use it in the first place. This leaves too many grey areas. I think there should be more parameters taken into account other than just hitting the map once, such as inflicting damage to the monsters on the map, not leaving the map, ownership resetting faster. This helps prove the map owner really intends to use the map, and not just pass by it and take ownership in case of future spawns.
How does the player keep map ownership when you can't hold it for more than 3 minutes without attacking in it? Unless you are talking about a player going into this empty map within 3 minutes all the time until the boss spawns which sounds pretty painful and a waste of time.
I mean when a player leaves an empty map and a boss spawns when he isn't there, and then the player comes back randomly (like you always do when you cc for boss searching) and technically has ownership of the new boss even if some other player has found it. Maybe ownership should be reset when a boss spawns on an empty map
Many people will find a boss, and like myself have an HS, SE, HB, SI mule(only have HS and SE myself) and buff themselves in the FM with said mules before starting the boss. You find the boss atk on the map take ownership. FM buff up and go back into the map. Doing so within the 3 minute timer means they keep the boss that they had already found and claimed by attacking the map. Just because the map is empty does not mean some1 wasnt already there. In the case of Headless Horseman and Bigfoot, after the initial ones are killed on the Server Checks they usually only spawn after a person enters the map and kills mobs to make the boss spawn. The mapowner rules are very fair as they are right now in my opinion. They even have rules against holding multiple boss maps like Mannon.
